To me, Link to the past is a true classic and one of the best...however. I personally believe Wind Waker is the true best Zelda game.

Likewise, Link to the Past has a special place in my heart (first Zelda I ever played :D), kinda liked Wind Waker (looking to buy the Wii U version), didn't play OOT or MM back in the day (do have the 3DS version of OOT though)...

Didn't like Spirit Tracks :( (never owned/tried Phantom Hourglass, but touch screen controls just don't work for Zelda :P)

LTTP and the extremely underrated Oracle series.

I'm not a fan of 3D Zeldas. One too many D's ^_~

Honestly. I'm going by gamepla-wise. Sailing the seas was really fun. Wind Waker had a lot of hidden stuff, and well hidden too.. Plus some of the best music. Story-line was also great.

I love how the N64 Zelda titles are missing. ;)

WindWaker has a charm for me.

Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, of course- what, you don't like sidescrollers?

Actually I'd have to say Link's Awakening, it was such a perfectly crafted game.

They're overrated anyway.

But yeah, ALttP is such a classic.

I like how huge and vast LTTP is. So many dungeons and lots of hidden secrets and areas to explore.

To me, Zelda 1 is the best... LTTP is second. Those games are tight... ^_^

Am I the only person who really liked the Oracle games?
Anyways, I'd say my favorite was Twilight Princess.

I really liked the Oracle games too- they probably come in very lose to LA, in my list.

(Part of the reason why Phantom Hourglass was such a disappointment to me was the high standards put up by the those games, and to a lesser extent Minish Cap....)

Minish Cap was kinda cool. It kinda tried to stuff too much into one game though. There was quite a lot more side-activities compared to other titles.

Nope, I did too~

The Oracles are up there with LTTP as the best Zelda games ever, IMO. But everyone ignores them, maybe because they're not 3D.

Minish Cap's problem was it had zillions of sidequests but a fairly small main quest. So it was a bit unbalanced, you spent almost all your time on the side quests.

Also, that figurine quest was so dull and tedious.

While I like both LTTP and Wind Waker a lot, my favorite would have to be Majora's Mask. I like how it takes a much darker view of Zelda lore than in most games. I mean the moon(with a face) trys to crash into the earth! I also liked both the mask and time travel gameplay mechanics, but hey maybe I'm just a sucker for dark themes.
