Five and one. One for the music and rather overall nice gameplay. (Keep in mind, I'm running on the GBA remake.)
And five, simply for the FREAKING AMAZING class system. The music is good and the story is decent at least. But what makes me come back and replay this one is the class system! <3 I wanted to vote for tactics advance as well, but it's not on the list, so... :< ____________________ Broken layout got nuked. :v |

I wish I could really speak, but so far I haven't played any FF other than 6 (sue me), and even that one I never completed. At the very least it's been an amazing game so far. |

Quite a few of the oldies are my favs. I have every version made of FFI, FFIV, and FFVI (to include the Japanese versions on all systems). So I'd have to say those are my favs, even though I own all the rest of the series.

Final Fantasy II (JP) was a pretty fun game... The NES version of it had a few game breaking things in the stat system. If you issued a command then cancelled out of it immediately, the character would still get credit toward the associated stat growth as if you had actually issued the command for the turn. This only worked for Firion, Maria and Gus (assuming you had a fourth member).
This could lead to absolute destruction of the early game if you abused it enough. I remember sequence breaking to Mysidia by glitch training my shield level on all three and double equipping bucklers. Needless to say, I found a way to successfully money grind and went to the waterfall cave with Ice Bows on everyone. |

Actually, my favorite as far as background story goes, is Amarant. I don't like using him on my team since he really kinda lacks in the power department unless you're using Throw with the Unobtainium items. That kinda only makes him useful against Necron.
Ozma was a joke. I use Steiner, Garnet, and Vivi against him. Set up immunity or absorption of Shadow, and hack away without issue. Climhazard and Doomsday are all you need. |

V, VI, and.... Duodecim >.>
5 and 6 have amazing music and great graphics, and I still love 5's class system (double castin' bahamut all day). Also Kefka is the best villain and Sabin is the best party member ever 
Duodecim is actually a pretty fun and technical fighting game, and it's great over adhoc party. My mains are Terra and Bartz actually >.> <.< |
