okay.

I'm getting a rather vague error "A MySQL error has occured, return to the index page if it's available" whenever I try to register to the board.

using MySQL 5.6 community edition (since mariadb wouldnt let me set a root pass) on debian 9, https is setup also and in directory /forums

thanks for any help, I'm using the latest git commit, and everything else appear to be fine.

---
ok so reinstalling mariadb fixed it lmao

and it retained mysql root pass too which is nice

kak, if you read this: can you fix editprofile.php so that it doesn't always autoselect the disable layouts and compact post box option, it's annoying :v

that autoselecting bug is very odd considering it's intended to select the correct option and I never ran into that bug (both on local and bplaced)

are you sure it is updating the profile correctly?

(ps: you should keep a dev copy somewhere with debug options enabled so the errors are shown at the bottom of the page. this also changes the generic SQL transaction error to something more descriptive)

okay thanks

also, it does submit correctly, it just seems to select the wrong option in the dropdown by default when hitting editprofile (admin editing works fine tho)

not sure if its a 7.0 issue, you're on 5.6 corect? :p

that is very odd considering that part of the code is exactly the same for both editprofile and edituser

damn

well i'm using a vps so i doubt its something like a freehost

also, could you push a change to how themes are ordered (have it by name rather than an ordered list)? i changed it on my board to name sorting :p

makes more sense then them being scattered everywhere lmao

the ordering is kind of weird but very much intentional:

the original jul themes come first (0-101), then the i2/i3 ones (150-199), and at the end there are the special themes (202-255).

I do not want to change this by default, but maybe I could provide an alternate sorting option. done, it's in the profile options
Scheme lists are done in a single place anyway wrong, the editprofile list is special if not editing an user.

yeah, that'd be a nice idea :)

as well, it makes me laugh that one of staples alts (Blaster) is in the register.php (as well as a ton of references to stuff from jul everywhere haha)
