How's that speaker system, Kiyoshi? I was debating on that one or the Logitech set I ended up buying.
It's awesome value. Its minimalism comes with no remote and no fancy surround-like features though.
Other sets with a comparable level of quality and design are 2-3 times more expensive.

It's been mostly the same for 4 years (see 2007), other than adding a few things around the computer ... and that cable clutter is nothing compared to mine:

- NES/SNES/PS2/PS3 power + A/V (that's 8)
- Screen power x2 + VGA x2 + DVI
- Computer power x2 + KVM (going to both), keyboard, mouse
- Sound system power + input and speakers (and headphones)
- Ethernet x3
- Composite + component going to the computer
- UPS and extension (with a dozen things plugged in)

It's quite a change from when I had a single computer and screen >_>

Man talk about a dibbs NerdRanch! I bet Emuz's cave can open up Portals.

Some pretty beast caves though.

Oh and: The Sauce IS the Boss. I NEVER leave my desk without atleast one bottle of Sweet, Sweet Baby Ray's.

Maybe not in computer tech.. but I got speakers.. and yes that green checkerboard cloth on the right does indeed have a Turntable under it. :D I never did get around to painting the wall whatever off white it came with..

Hmm, did my Snivy obession rub off? ;)

As soon I get home and find a camera I'm gonna take a photo of my set. I do feel like I'm the only one still using "standard" ratio monitors (been considering widescreen for awhile but I have no idea what brands are good).

I would love to turn my dual monitor into a trio setup with a widescreen in the middle but sadly I do not think I have the desktop space for that.

I do feel like I'm the only one still using "standard" ratio monitors (been considering widescreen for awhile but I have no idea what brands are good).
I have been using 1600x1200 until 2009. Full HD (1920x1080) becoming the standard is what made me jump on the wide screen bandwagon.
Basically you can't go wrong with Samsung, even monitors of lots of other brands (including the fancy Eizo) have Samsung panels.
The only reason I got this specific LG is that it gives very good results in colour quality as well as in speed. Usually it's just one of the two. It depends on how you use it, which is more important.
