I have a roleplay partner who can't timezones or geographies worth shit. He thinks there's a corner of New Mexico that's closer to Maine than California.

Except that he's technically right... The northeastern corner of the state.

What I actually meant to say is that I thought of Massachusetts as a landlocked state in the center of the US, which bordered Virginia (also a landlocked state).
