I know it's getting a bit better, but any improvement since we talked last? Like I said on IRC I think there may be a line problem somewhere that may be part of why it's acting how it is. DSL and line noise just doesn't work well.

Now that it has been out for a while, what is everyone's opinion now?

I found that I still like the desktop changes, but I rarely if ever use "metro" on my desktop. I did end up getting a Surface however..

The "Metro" interface makes some sense on a touch environment, but it is basically still even months later lacking 'apps' to make it more function. It works for me at work, and that's why I bought it... however it became more useful with a 'jailbreak' which disabled the desktop app cert check.

I got blown around quite a bit today. It was ridiculous. When I was leaving today I was buffeted with snow.. Quite blizzard like actually.

From what I read I've noticed a few trends and read a few rumors on Sony...

Sony is really investing it's efforts into next-gen Hidef TVs. The so called "4K". They even have developed this tech for the PS3 that they will expand upon that allows two people to see two different screens on the same TV. They do this by having active 3D glass run at different refresh rates. I can see them using this a lot provided 4K is even reasonable in the next 5 years.

The next trend is second screen. I am sure Sony will come out with it's own version to compete with the Wii U and Smart Glass. We'll see if they do, and if they can split themselves from the other two offerings in some way.

Also as a footnote I did read something about them acquiring a game streaming company. So they may incorporate that in some way in the PS4.

None of these are really creative so there may be more in store from MS and Sony.. . .... .?

Edit: We may just find out Feb 20th! lol
