Enlisted in the Air Force in 1997, still on active duty. My job in the military is that I'm a parachute rigger. Been to quite a few deployments, and have traveled to quite a few places (mainly in SE Asia). Was stationed in Japan for nearly 10 years, currently residing in North Carolina.

That is indeed a really rough situation...one that nobody ever wants to be in. My wife's mother passed away unexpectedly this past summer, and that was hard enough.
I personally have not been in the exact same situation. Although when my grandfather passed away in 94, it was due to heart failure and they were unable to bring him out of it. It is extremely heart wrenching and even though we don't know each other, I'm saddened to hear it. Power bar after PT for breakfast, for lunch was a decent sized salad with 2 pieces of buffalo spiced chicken, up on the menu for dinner in about 20 minutes is taco rice.
