Since my wife frequently travels all over the country and has to file for each state she's worked in for those periods, our taxes are a major pain, so we usually go to H&R Block to file.
I haven't gotten deployed in the last couple of years, so the returns have been a bit less than when I'm in a tax-free zone for half the year. ;-) Usually get around $6000 back on non-deployment years. ____________________ Sonnanja, ore no inochi wa toreneena! Been a pretty hectic week, and I wanted to post sooner...but meh. Oh well.
1. What's your favorite season (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) and why? I rather prefer Spring and Autumn. Not too hot, not too cool. Just right for lots of outdoor activities! 2. What's your favorite genre of video games? I like lots of games, but mostly play RPGs. 3. Retro or modern games? I always find myself migrating back to the retro games. 4. Are you on a laptop or desktop? Desktop, but usually have my laptop running as well. 5. What OS do you run? Windows 7 64-bit. 6. What's your favorite movie genre? Action all the way, babeh! 7. What brought you to Kafuka? Emuz and Bouche bribed me with promises of swords and other pointy objects. 8. Do you have any siblings? If so, how do you like them? Blood related, I have a brother and a younger sister. From my mom re-marrying I now have 3 extra younger step brothers, and on my wife's side of the family I have 2 older brothers-in-law. I get along very well with all of them. 9. Are you right handed or left handed? Right. 10. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? Depends on my mood. I'm not too picky for any one particular flavor all the time. 11. What was your first Acmlmboard experience? I was registered on Acmlm's very first board, but didn't post a whole lot, as I was running a different forum of my own at the time. 12. What was the last book your read? That's a tough one, since my memory kind of sucks. Could be either James and the Giant Peach or Charlie and the Chocolate factory, both of which I read probably in the early 80s. >.> EDIT: For some reason, I started thinking about the first book I ever read and ended up posting my thought on it. However, I don't read nearly as much as my wife, but the last book I finished was the final book in the Dragon Lance Lost Chronicles series by Margret Weis and Tracy Hickman, titled Dragons of the Hourglass Mage. 13. What's your favorite webcomic? (links please) Never really read many web comics, but I did follow Nuclear Power's 8-bit Theater for awhile. And I also enjoy Foamy on Ill Will Press 14. What's your favorite midnight snack? If I wake up, usually just chug a bottle of water and then pass back out. 15. Do you sleep on your front, side or back? I start off of my back usually, but have been informed that I'm all over the place when I sleep. I sometimes wake up on my stomach with my face completely buried in the pillow. 16. How do you deal with headaches? Lay down and take a nap. 17. What's your favorite food? This could be a very long list, as I love many different kinds of food. Most of my favorites are Japanese style dishes, though. Curry, Katsu-don, Shabu-shabu, Sukiyaki, Yaki Niku, Soki soba, Niku Jaga, Nimono, Sushi...seriously folks, this list could go on for DAYS. 18. Are you a day person, or night person? Day person. And I mean from the crack of dawn or just before day. 19. Do prefer hot drinks or cold drinks? Drink cold drinks all the time, even in winter. Though I do fancy the occasional cup of hot chocolate/cocoa. 20. What is your occupation? Parachute rigger for the US Air Force. Been on active duty since 1997. 21. Do you travel? If so, what other countries/states have you been to? Due to the nature of my job, I've been to quite a few places. Stationed in Japan for nearly 10 years, 7 on Okinawa and 3 near Tokyo. Been to South Korea, India, Thailand, Austrailia, New Zealand, Singapore, Koala Lumpur, Diego Garcia, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq, Germany, Scotland, France, Nova Scotia, Iceland, Philippines, and probably a few others I'm forgetting to mention. ____________________ Sonnanja, ore no inochi wa toreneena! That's just someone abusing their power, and could also be someone whom is entirely too easily offended. The answer: It would make life suck, but wouldn't leave people room to make these types of complaints if everything were strictly business.
