Greetings everyone. I suppose an introduction may be in order.

My name is Scrydan but I also go by Derek if I know you enough. A name I had long ago was Superderek but I felt the need for change.

My interests include:
Writing/reading, art, music, programming (game creation and site creation, not to many regular applications yet), most types of games, LPs (making/watching), entertaining others, and a few others. My major ones are being able to benefit others so me seeing others being happy makes me happy.

Places you might have seen me:
Youtube - SuperDerek1
SMWC - Superderek/Scrydan
Board2 - Scrydan
Nikoboard(before closed) - Superderek
NSMBHD - Scrydan
on my own site - Superderek/Scrydan
other possible places, NOT with those names

Here's a fun fact: unlike the few other times I registered someplace in the past, it isn't late at night (way past midnight). How odd of me to do so in the first place.

Anyways, I thought this place could be interesting to post at. I can be a fairly active person so I shall lend my hand at activity where needed. ;)
I do hope I enjoy my stay and hope you do too.

It is funny about how I used to hate math like 8 or more years ago and now to think I'm constantly working with it and numbers. And dare I say, enjoy it? Well, at least the typical stuff I mess with. None of that super high college level related material I would need if I were to go into a different profession.

Although the professors of my college are pretty awesome. I only meet 1 who was not par with my expectations. Then again, that same class was C++ and I did have the experience so I pretty much didn't really need to show but I still did (isn't required). I just can't get rid of the feeling I might miss something and I like developing good relations with the professor so it is easier to deal with much harder projects and the like. Even then, I easily get good grades without trying...although my weakness is procrastination.

Edit: And lack of a good schedule. Which I suppose would solve that last problem. Eh?

You can still call me Derek. I actually don't care but I don't really go by my old name Superderek. Some people are calling me "Dan" because of the end part of my new username I prefer.
That's fine too but I might get confused. :P

Yeah, I usually try to keep my introductions fairly detailed. This may be one of my best ones, heh.
My first introduction ever was even longer but somehow contained less information. I guess this one is fairly compacted.

You most likely haven't see me at Board2 since I've been actually just lurking until I registered like a month or two ago (79 days ago to be precise).
I would have registered quite a few years sooner but I was a bit shy at the time.

The first real programming language I've ever learned was C++.

After a few problems with learning further into it in a class, I decided to pick up PHP. Even though I learned C++ first, the first real understanding of most concepts came from PHP. I probably know PHP best out of all the languages since I used it in a lot of projects and even helped a site out by being a board coder which eventually lead me to further my knowledge of PHP and MySQL and I built a board myself for my site. To this day, I seek to help teach others what I know and program for others where possible.

I know a little Java but not too much. I don't remember why I randomly decided to learn but I think it had to do with Minecraft but I could be wrong.
I also learned some Actionscript (Flash) recently due to me wanting to build some sort of chat script with PHP and AS. It is mostly working but I have to work out a few kinks.

I have plans to learn more C++ and Java a bit more this year. I'm also hoping to continue working on my RPG System I made for my board.
It uses so many tables and takes much time to develop but it is fun.

I use Notepad++ versus Notpad because I like the Syntax Highlighting and I'm used to it. Although long ago back in 2002-2007 I did just stick to Notpad because I was very lazy.
Then again, I didn't have much use for it back then. Haha.

I suppose this "comfort zone" is why I stick to Windows as much as I do.

I read this thread's first page and then went to the next page. When I came to the second page, I decided to vote. (voted "Just enough to remember important stuff")
Then I scrolled through the thread swearing I seen certain replies and thought that people were making a terrible joke about forgetting their own replies and then I realized I just reread the entire first page again. Haha.

That's fine, Emuz. ;)

Being a greeter is no easy task. Thank you all for your welcomes. It is ironic because I used to be SMWC's "official" greeter until too many users came. I suppose greeting users here will be easier. So I'll apply as Kafuka's Official Greeter be happy to greet users here. :)

I could actually go for some donuts. I'll go on an adventure to find them! This should be fun. ^_^

As a side note, I noticed me using more smilies because of the IRC. Oh IRC, you have a crazy effect on me sometimes.

You know what, it might be weird but I think that may be good.
I might have to try that as I already eat weird combinations such as Mayonnaise and Steak Sauce on any cheese/meat kind of sandwich.
Don't know why but I like the light taste mixed with the spiced flavor. I like the hot variety to make it even better. :P

I usually have even weirder combinations as well but I can be quite picky on certain specifics.

I had some rain this morning or yesterday. I'm glad it finally cooled off this summer heat. Since we didn't have much of a winter, I had a feeling parts of this summer would be quite hot.
Most of the grass in some of my neighbors' lawn is dead because of all the hot weather - unless one of the few who aren't dead dump gallons of water on their lawn. I'd hate to see their water bill. :P

Interesting notes there. Might have another fairly active user right here. XD

I need to try some orange marmalade sometime. It sounds really good to have right about now. (To be honest, I don't remember ever having any marmalade but it could have been a decade ago.)

For that reason, RPGs always have interested me because of all the balancing and formulas involved to make the game perfect. Which is why I'm working on one myself, hehe.

It is amazing to think how many ideas crashed or didn't happen because it might upset some balance. Numbers can be fun to think about and if you do your calculation right, you can make certain moments of a game feel epic.

How many pages are you expecting to see this thread get with the default posts per page setting of 20 after another month?

Do you prefer to have more than one question per post?

Do you prefer to answer at least three or so posters before answering or do you like to answer as soon as possible?

Is it weird of me to portray your voice to sound somewhat like Fluttershy for some odd reason - at least in a certain quality?
I can't but help not being able to shake the thought.
Am I possibly going mad?

The worse part is the further you go up, the longer and more stressful it gets. I'm trying very hard to avoid taking anything in college that I don't absolutely need to take - unless it somewhat intrigues me.

As I don't want to spend 3 hours on one freaking problem. The only problems I care for that take that long are programming problems if it is serious enough. I can work all day on that and working on formulas. :o
Of course, I only mean homework. I usually ace tests fairly easy but it is the math homework that will get me.

I had this for awhile but only now I use it. This is me being silly with special effects on whatever program I used like 5 or 6 months ago.

I suppose I should also supply a real one towards that other thread too, huh? :)

So far, I have like 32 within like one day or so. I'm not really going to count that other fraction of a day since I didn't bother. I say it is quite fun.

It only gets harder from here though once repeats come in more often. :D

If that's the case, who would you want to be the owner?

Does the owner being rich increase those chances?

I make sure to do my duty and it looks like I'm succeeding! WHO RA!

I haven't had coffee in like months, perhaps half a year. I'm surprised because I really do like coffie.
I used to drink a lot of coffee as a kid.

Edit: Clarified last sentence, even though it should be obvious. :P
