I'm KP9000. I've been lurking around Acmlm's since like 1999. Never really became active until a couple of years later, and I really wasn't that active (or bright, for that matter) during its run. I finally joined up with board2 after the split and stuck with it. I'm still there and will continue to support board2 until the end.

I hope all of you dudes and dudettes have fun. It's great to see some familiar faces!

This is the place to discuss new ideas regarding board themes for Kafuka. To make a new theme, I find the easiest way is to save a page from the board to your hard drive and all the necessary files (images, CSS files, etc) and change the referring links to local copies, which you would then edit.

Also, I would like to gather your thoughts on the new (and classic) themes included at board launch. Like them? Hate them? Why?

Show off your layouts! Get constructive criticism and help with them here in this thread. Keep off-topic posting to a minimum please.

So, my layout was migrated from board2. Got an awesome color scheme idea and applied it to my favorite PC game of all time, Cave Story. Also added some non-canon bits to it too. Love it!

Fixed a "bug" in my layout that addresses Firefox's bitchy specific needs. Should show up for those of you previously having issues with my layout.

I have been playing Halo: Reach, Super Meat boy, Cave Story, N+, aaaannnnd.... that's it. Mostly stuff on the Xbox 360.

I don't really have many goals for this year. I suppose eventually I hope to get a new, more stable job, perhaps additional to the one I have now. And perhaps get a girlfriend/soulmate/etc. so I don't feel so... lonely...

It's for really anyone who wants to contribute to the Sprites collection. I'll be paying Coins, and probably Frog Coins based on the submissions. We need mostly 8-bit games from the well-known franchises; Zelda 1 would be great.

Jet, that layout is super sexy. Would you consider making one that changes hues?

I haven't really watched anything beyond Mythbusters, How It's Made, Carl Sagan's Cosmos, and the various Jackass series and spinoffs. Not a lot I'm really interested in.

Gonna watch Waterboy tomorrow. And possibly Click. I need some good ol' Adam Sandler humor, I've been feeling down lately. Haven't seen much else except for a shit ton of Christmas movies due to my family's infatuation with them. I swear I've seen A Christmas Story like four fucking times and Polar Express at least 7 times.

I had a hard drive malfunction resulting in a phantom partition somewhere. I had a shit ton of stuff on there that I wanted to get, but I couldn't recover anything off of it much less find any tools to do so at the time. I was so pissed. When I finally thought I was getting somewhere, the drive finally went completely dead and I lost everything.

I tend to play the game the way I want and never really kept it to achieving the next goal right away, so I'll be prone to just doing whatever the hell I want instead of paying attention to the fastest way possible. Notorious examples are indeed Cave Story and Super Metroid.

As for keeping it fair, I will admit to cheating in a competition just like this. I made a poor decision under pressure. Sometimes competitions have a way of twisting people into something they normally aren't (read: cheater) and they end up facing the consequences. So, streaming live is really the best way to prevent something like savestates/speedups/cheats to be used.
