Holy shit! I just got off the phone with a person who was running a Chinese auction I entered the other day. I apparently won one of the two baskets I tossed tickets in for, which is awesome.

One of the baskets I entered for was a bunch of gift certificates for the local pizza shops; Fox's, Angelo's, and Pizza Hut. The other one was from Means-Lauf, the pharmacy on Main Street that also has a Radioshack in it, and the basket had a pair of headphones and a Radioshack gift card in it, along with some other stuff I'm not really interested in.

Part of me wants the pizza basket, because I'm poor and food would be a nice thing to have, but the other part wants the other one, because I need a new pair of headphones and I have my eye on another PSP memory card from Radioshack (4GB is not enough for running UMD isos, even when they're scrubbed down).

I pick my threads to reply to, which is to say, I don't post very often.

If you think about it, I'm keeping pace perfectly compared to when I was a newbie on Board2. We're coming up on the start of our fifth month as Kafuka, and I hit 1000 over there at roundabout the same time frame. Assuming I don't take long hiatuses like I did over yonder and keep up my current pace, I should hit 2000 by sometime in August.

I decided to start up Mad World since I bought it and ripped it to my Wii's hard drive, but never played it. I fucked around for the better part of an hour. I beat the first boss without much trouble, but I did manage to get killed by the train nearing the end of the level because I wasn't paying attention. Luckily, respawning doesn't do much more than a slap on the wrist.

Getting bored of that, I moved back to Paper Mario. I didn't realize how much time I sank into that game for how little I have completed. When I started, I was at about eight and a half hours in, and only up to getting into the haunted forest. Not wanting to waste a lot of time in the maze, because the way it's presented is disorienting, I used an online map... Unfortunately, the complexity of the maze seemed to be a bit of a gameplay lengthener seeing as the Boo Mansion was straightforward and incredibly short. In my infinite stupidity, I left the forest after Bow joined me, thinking I had to go back to Toad Town to get to the next area... Only to discover that I had to go through the mansion's other exit. Instead of worrying about going through the maze again, I fucked around doing Parakarry's retarded mail side quest until I ran out of NPCs I could deliver to. All the while, searching the Toad Town Tunnels for the warp pipe to activate that lead back to the mansion, having found it and delivering the letter to the Boo in the course of that infernal quest, I decided to take a break... Checking my message board for my play time breakdown, I found I had been fucking around for two hours. I didn't realize how time-suckingly immersive that game is for me.

I just got the dice block, too.

Isn't calling a single block "dice" a misnomer, seeing as 'dice' is plural of 'die?'

Calling it the "die block" could give the wrong message, though.
Although, seeing as the block is in the shape of a typical d6, but rolls numbers seven to ten... Wouldn't rolling 2d6 and allowing a typical standard roll to go to twelve be just as good a system as any?

As far as the double- and triple-dice powerups, just add one or two more blocks, respectively... Or am I looking too far into this?

I think we should put a backdrop behind the rank breakdowns... The numbers and a few of the user colors are hard to read.

Most notoriously unreadable is Local Mod (male) and Global Mod (male) since they're so light. This goes for both @Gywall and @Liliana's layouts.

Alternatively, we need to make sure only people with readable usercolors win.
Assuring people with readable colors win is about as easy as giving the most aquaphobic cat a bath, seeing as @Gywall is fifty posts ahead of everyone on a daily posting basis.

EDIT:
Posted by Gywall
I'd say it's more due to the fact that the colours were picked with only appearing on a dark colour scheme in mind.
That doesn't remove the legitimacy of the complaint.

If it humours you, I do have a potential idea for my layout.. but I need more of an excuse than just the rankings before I go update it.
I'm not asking for you to alter your layouts, just alter the rankings code to give a background color. That shouldn't be too much to ask, especially since the rankings are generated within a table to begin with!

Adding something as simple as 'bgcolor="black"' into the tables wouldn't be too hard to do.

An impressive amount of obliviousness.
Either that, or it shows how little I pay attention to thread titles, seeing as the titles have very little to do with the content within.
