You're talking to the guy that is deliberately overpowering himself in a different Final Fantasy game to make an otherwise useless ability viable about the pointlessness of grinding in an RPG. How does that make sense?

Why does every game publisher automatically make assumptions about the difficulty level of a particular game for a specific region?

Well, I mean, translation is a lot of work, so you have to make sure you get your money's worth I guess...
OBJECTION!

Super Mario Bros 2 had no storyline, but it wasn't released outside of Japan until the Allstars compilation on SNES.

The thing about Capcom was... They actually decreased the difficulty in Mega Man for the most part in the first six games as they went along. At least that's my take on it... Probably because I grew up with Mega Man IV and VI, and never really played the others until recently.

EDIT: Clarified and fixed a typo.

I think Mega Man started going downhill after a while, moreso now because I'm familiar with the canon... The robots were originally "designed to help humans," which was a great concept... But by the time IV came out, they seemed to have lost sight of that. Hell, Skull Man was designed by Wily specifically to destroy Mega.

You could also describe it as the mental breakdown of Dr. Wily. :P
I never thought about it like that. Excellent point.

I just got Black Mage... HOW DID I NOT HAVE HIM ALREADY?!?

My favorite class in the original Final Fantasy... Actually, pretty close to my favorite in the whole series.

My current magic progression:

Gus and Leon give me hope of being done soon... Then I look at Maria and become slightly disheartened... And Firion just makes me want to cry myself to sleep.

You'll notice that I have all of my spells (except for Leon's Swap) exactly at the start of the level, because looking at staggered experience bars is confusing for me to look at. My plan of attack for grinding is to spend up to sixty turns per battle, focusing on one spell per character to get a full level up from each battle. As you can imagine, it's basically "Hold X down and monitor MP levels while I watch something on Youtube." This shit is boring!

Oh, and apparently, Ultima (the reason I'm grinding him all the way to insanity's peak) also draws from weapon proficiency, too... Which means even more bullshit to get Ultima to be the best thing since sliced bread, like the plot hypes it up to be.

Oh, and my file's timer is just over 51 and a half hours.

I did not. I just happened. <_<
You just happened?

I'm sorry to hear that. :P

In all seriousness... I think we have a bit of a rivalry between us going, eh?

http://www.devils-shadow.com/forums/... A torrent site I tried because Demonoid didn't have what I was looking for. It wasn't what I hoped for...

This time: L!

I actually had to hit my bookmarks since I have Firefox set up to not bring up a dropdown of suggestions in the address bar.

I decided to compare the time it took me to get to my post count I have now to when I hit it back on Board2. And I noticed that I made this post number within a day or two's worth of time (154 days) from joining.

Freaky coincidence.

X-Death (He seriously comes from nowhere in the third act).

Actually, don't you get an explanation of how he comes back in the third act? From what I remember, you just defeat him in the second. You don't actually kill him.
How is that any different that The Emperor coming back immediately after you kill him declaring himself Lord of Hell in FFII?

I would be surprised by this, except that very little actually surprises me anymore because of the internet.
