In Captain Planet there is also Heart.

Fuck, Kiyoshi beat me to the punch.

Well if heart ISN'T an option, I'mma go with.... ice I guess. I honestly dunno, water, ice, or light would be mine. But I love the cold soooo ice works. Of course, I'm not entirely sure how everyone views the elements as they fit with emotions and personality types. Is ice cold distant and stubborn? Or is it cool headed, collective, and patient? I'll go with the latter.

It was a tie with light, but I like the cold.

Does Civilization count?

Looks like sources state it to be a "turn based strategy" rather than falling in the "simulation" genre. :/

Yeah. It's more of a strategy game than a simulation game (ruling an empire is NOTHING like that) but eh. It's still addictive.

I. LOVE. Sim City 2000. 3000 is great, Classic is alright, 4 is.... okay I guess, but my favorite has been and probably always will be 2000. I play SO many different types of simulation games, Tycoon games, Sim games, you name it.

So, is this supposed to be Trope-a-Dope II?

Yes, that is exactly what it is. I.... thought that would be obvious, I just forgot the name.

*BONE CRUSHING WALL*

Huh. Well my "who doesn't love TVTropes" thing was a rhetorical question. There's always someone who doesn't love something others do, and that's perfect fine lol. I understand your reasons. They don't bother me enough to not read through TVTropes when bored, but I understand them, and respect yer opinion.

Now then.... Let us get back on track.

Simcity 4 with Rush hour is the best version seriously. :p Simcity 3000 is way too easy, and Simcity 2000 lacks the depth that Simcity 4 have (I love the traffic simulation). But you need the expansion pack or the deluxe edition for the best experience (if you buy the game today you get the deluxe edition anyway). People seem to have trouble getting into Simcity 4 since it's the hardest one (but as long you're careful and waits with public services until they're needed rather than building them haphazardly, you do fine).

Yeah I think a reason I couldn't get into 4 is cause I'm SHIT at the series. I dunno how to actually HAVE an income, I dunno how to have high quality buildings, I dunno how to do ANY of that stuff. The only way I ever made an all map sprawling city in 3000 is cause I abused the budget. On Christmas each year, I made the tax rate 20% to net a few thousand dollars, then brought it to 1% for the rest of the year. People left and came back around the 1st every year. It was actually kinda funny.

Golden Crisp is a nice cereal.

But it always makes your piss smell like Golden Crisp.
This.

It is a nasty cycle, because I am not one to get disgusted that my food-scented piss gets me hungry. This means when I piss a Golden Puffs smell, I will go and get myself a bowl of Golden Puffs.
Bet your real name is Bear Grylls.

I'M OUT HERE... IN THE WILDERNESS... NOTHING BUT A BOWL OF GOLDEN CRISP AND THE NATURE AROUND ME.

BETTER DRINK MY OWN PISS

Last I got was a Side Hopper. Where's that from?

Metroid, Side Hoppers are the generic "big enemy" of Kraid's lair, an area of the game.

I will ALWAYS prefer the game. Sometimes I just buy the game, emulatable or not, just cause playing it on the NES or SNES or GBA is way more enjoyable to me. If it costs too much or if I have too little money, I'll just emulate it. Or if I gotta record it.

I've gotten a lot of games like this. Shadowgate, Megamans 2-4, LOTS of N64 games, all that. My classic consoles still work so that's no problem (I got a new NES though, a toploader. My old grey box was unfortunately way too faulty, though it DID still work).

I hate it when the only posts in the past few days have been things I can't post about. I dunno shit about Linux, nor do I care to learn anything, so I can't add anything to the discussion. But I feel bad for not posting, and it seems like it's been a slow few days.

It was SO FUCKING WINDY the other day. Like, blow your hat off your head windy. Add that to the cold? Yeeeep it was a fun day!

It's just normal today though. It was cold enough to see breath but I bet it'll warm up during the day.

Only one I'll ever read for pleasure is tvTropes, other than Wikipedia I guess. I do browse others whenever I need to though, like when I forget if I use smooth stone to make switches in Minecraft, or I wanna know the drop rate of an item in some other game. They are very reliable sources of info for games. My favorite's the Dwarf Fortress Wiki, cause it's so much Fun.

I only try to use savestates and rewinds in situations where I want to see the results of doing something differently or I’m playing with glitches that can crash the game. If I'm playing seriously, I don't use it at all.

This is a reason I prefer original consoles. I am SHIT at resisting using savestates if they're there, I'll eventually break down and cheat my way through the game. If they're not there, I'll manage through with out them. Like, last week, I sat down and beat Zelda 2 on the original NES. Twice. Without savestates, and without saving (the battery pack is dead on that cart). That makes me feel MUCH more proud, especially since never having beaten the game without savestates before, than if I had just cheated my way through.

I tried installing Linux once and it ended poorly. Mostly due to the crappy internet I had at the time, at my grandma's house, but eh. I see no need for it when all it does it confuse me and I apparently gotta learn a LOT of shit to just use it. All that stuff you guys posted up there? Might as well have been Italian for all I know. I don't feel I need Linux anyways, so there's no real need to learn about any of it.

I taken notice to the state of the sky more often and I even look after a daymoon now and then it's funny how much the moon is considered to be a night thing when it's up as much during the day too, I guess people just notice it less.

I sometimes think about that too, and I laugh at the fact that some games, like Minecraft or Ocarina of Time, represent them as revolving parallel to each other, at the same rate, on opposite sides of the world of each other. I guess you can say neither of these games takes place on Earth so I gueeeessss it works. (We GUESS Hyrule's not on Earth at least)

I had an interesting game the other day. Picture Sburb in Homestuck, a game based around destroying the universe and making a new one. My dream was kinda like that, except if I remember correctly, we weren't making a new one, we were just stopping the game from destroying our own universe. This involved working with my brother, and I don't remember exactly WHAT we did, I remember a final boss of sorts. When we won, we found out we were the only winners ever. What do the winners win? We got the pleasure of being sent back to play the game again forever. Then I woke up.

And out of nowhere, Ailure begins a posting spree. :o

12 posts isn't much of a spree.

If a posting spree is a loud roaring train bursting through, Ailure's spree is him riding through on a bike, ringing the bell, and going at two miles an hour.

And we're just roaring and applauding for him.

As for inactivity, I don't post if no one else does.
