Umm, yeah...I suppose that did. lol

Well nonetheless, the world may never know such results.
I'm not a cat so I don't plan on licking myself. Although I do share some qualities of one.

On the rare occurance I lick myself, I lick my fingers while they taste of cheetos. So either licking me gives you a cheeto-tinge, or I'm gross.

Or both.

My roommate is out, and we're out of food anyway, so I had to order takeout sushi... ok, I should probably have ordered something cheaper... >_> but it was good!

Takeout sushi? Wow, no takeout places near here have sushi. How much does that cost, usually? I'm personally not a fan of sushi (though I've only had meh cheapo sushi, I should probably try more), but I'm curious.

I had some pizza at Mellow Mushroom with my family before eating an entire large-thing of Popcorn. I feel like the most unhealthy man in the world.

I'm sorry to hear this. I know that won't help, but I truly hope that things change soon. I know job hunting is Hell, but I'm sure that soon something good will turn up! You still have a month, and there's always a chance. So don't give up hope :D

As for your nerves, if you feel you're gonna break, we're always here. Come and take a load off, do something fun that you love. Like writing, that always helps. If you're feeling like you're gonna break, I'm sure anyone on the IRC will be more than willing to listen and help cheer you up. I know you don't much care for IRC, but hey, I might as well offer it.

But whatever, I hope everything turns out for the best.

I'm moderately surprised a thread like this does not exist.

Anyone seen any good movies recently? I went to go see two in the past month: Lincoln and the Hobbit. First off, Lincoln:

It was surprisingly good. It wasn't AMAZING mind you, I wasn't blown away, and it had its problems. Lincoln suffered from what I like to call "Alfred-Syndrome", which means he rambled out random stories and speeches like he had them written up in his head a year ago in preparation for JUST this moment. It's a nitpick, but that aaaalways bugged me. Nonetheless, good movie, I'd recommend it, but maybe that's just cause I'm a history buff.

And then, the Hobbit, which I saw today. Just as good as I expected, really. I think everything they added was fleshed in quite well, and only one casting choice still kinda bugs me: Thorin really doesn't look, or act, or sound, much like a typical Tolkein Dwarf to me. They're always portrayed as more comical, big noses, long beards. It seems they went with the Aragorn approach this time and made him attractive and stuff. Seriously, the dude's old. So was Aragorn. He wasn't much of a looker in the books. So was Aragorn. But again, a bit of a nitpick, and in all he acted well.

The other thing that bugged me was that Gandalf was wheezing a lot. Did he always do that?

How about you guys? :D Seen any good movies lately?

Seems that it keeps getting bad reviews however.

Fuck the reviewers. Critics are idiots, you should never ever decide whether a movie is good or bad based on the critics. In the end it's really all down to taste.

The first review I saw on Rotten Tomatoes for the Hobbit was this: "My first thought in watching The Hobbit was: Do we really need this movie? It was my last thought, too."

Well obviously this movie wasn't fucking made for you, then. Why watch it? Why BOTHER? You're not going to enjoy it with THAT kind of attitude. I had the same problem with Spiderman, actually. So many people were ruined to that movie cause they thought it "didn't need to me made". Just enjoy the god damn movie.

Sorry. I just hate critics.

EDIT: ....On further review of my own post, I fear I may have devolved into Fanboy mode. Hmmm.

I... think we should take the subject in here off of prayer. That's a topic for another Officer's Club thread. Debating it in here won't make Anya feel any better, will it? :P

To the "Naughty or Nice", I'm kinda thinking I'd be on the Naughty list after this evening at a christmas meal with people at work.

Innuendo is all I'll say.

Innuendo doesn't usually cause naughty lists, in my opinion. Acting upon the innuendo suggested? Yeah maybe.

I've been nice. All I can say. :D

The answer was "What is District 9". Time for the last question before Final Jeopardy.

CLUE

This character is the crazy, relentless killer in the "Halloween" movies.

That is correct! Finally someone gets it correct. Surprised you spelled it right, too.

These are the final scores:

SCORE
Nicole: 7100
TKB: 3800
Nightkev: 2400

And now it is time for Final Jeopardy. This is the way it's gonna work: I say the topic, you all PM me your amounts. Once I have them all, I post the question, and then you PM me the answers. I state your answers and amounts in the thread, then someone wins and BOOM everyone's happy.

The topic is Disney.

Please PM me your wagers.

Why do I seem to be the only one with odd dreams?

So I had one today that was pretty good. It was a long'un, too. It changed a lot. First me and my family were at like a sports game or something. I got into a huge argument with someone, I think my brother, and things got out of hand. Harsh words were said. And then the dream cuts out... I can't remember much.

THEN all of a sudden it comes back into focus. I'm on the run, with two friends and my two children. The police and army is after us, and we have to escape to somewhere safe. We tried to hide in an old log cabin in the woods, which worked for a while, but then we were found. So we decided to hightail it to Canada. To get the younglings away, I told them to go north and we'd find them (dream logic). We then went south to a port, to steal a boat so we could seem like we were going south when we'd actually swing back up to Canada. Now, this seems all fine and good, but guards were EVERYWHERE. And we couldn't really sneak by em, we had to kill em. We were all good swordsmen, but it was a lot of guards. Thankfully, in my dream, I had the power of save scumming. That's right, every time I got hurt I would painfully reload a save, IN MY DREAM, so I could try to stab a soldier all over again. It basically started turning into the time-effect from Prince of Persia. I remember freaking out cause a sword almost hit me.

Anyways, we eventually released a lot of boats which were for some reason whales, and we got on one and headed off. My wife, who at this point for some reason turned into superspy Miss Fortune from League of Legends, berated them while I stood silently. Then I woke up.

So are you going to be posting a lot so you can make up for my slower post rate while I work on the board?

Kiiiiinda?

If it's anything I think I reinvigorated people's feelings about the board. Much more posting these days with me around.

It is nice to see you on more. <3
Maybe after my test board's lockdown lifts you can try to test some more there as well?

Maaaaaaybe, again. I'll try to remember it exists, but like with this place, I really cannot make promises.
