Posted by CherryBunnyWell, it... doesn't have to be like that, right? Maybe we should just overthrow the questionable morals system that gave us that way of thinking?Posted by SquidEmpressMaybe. Might have something to do with the less clothes = more evil thing. |

Posted by SquidEmpressWell, one could be a form of the other. So when can/should? I start an ask thread? Since I'm sure you guys are all brimming with questions about why my ego is that fucking bloated. |

I, uh...
wait, what am I supposed to put here? I get this feeling that "Ask away" or "Ask me anything" or anything like that tends to go without saying, right? Um... yeah... go on, go on. Here's something to help ease you into it, I guess? |

Posted by SquidEmpressI don't really know, but I might want to put getting involved in a lot of the online games that I have gotten involved in as being fairly high -- among things I did intentionally, anyway. Now I'm having difficulties quitting but I, honestly, kind of loathe most of the people I play with (or against!) now. That sounds really, really dumb, I guess. Actually, maybe getting involved with card games? Because those have all been serious money sinks over the years, and I generally don't like a lot of the playerbase that I've been around, either. I mean, there are still some people I enjoy playing with, and I have fun building decks and stuff, but pretty much every tournament there is one person that reminds me that, no matter how much The Purge (or whatever it's called) makes my eyes simultaneously twitch and try to roll out of their sockets, I probably would actually participate in such an event, they are THAT level of scumfuck. (Yes, I do have massive issues with small stresses even though I deal better with big things, why do you ask.) |

My lost connection caused this to be eaten; thankfully I could go back through my history to get back to it.
Posted by SquidEmpressI've never seen it, actually! It's just the concept that... let's say "rattles me"? I think it may be the realization that, yes, given the chance, there are actual people who would do that, and that I probably know some of them. |

Posted by SquidEmpressHmmm. Tough call. I personally like ice cream a whole lot. Specifically, if it's vanilla with some sort of chocolate content (or something in that area), it's probably up there on the list, and if not, I'm willing to try it. |

Posted by SquidEmpressIt's giving me something to do, that's for sure. Actually, I'm impressed that there haven't been more probings into my gaming habits, but I feel like I've posted about those a LOT. I guess. I'm not entirely sure what qualifies as "a lot" in that area. Posted by ArcherHm. I'll have to defer to a trusted expert on the matter. Trusted expert? Posted by SquidEmpresswell shit, now everybody's gonna know ... though know what, I'm not really sure |

Posted by SquidEmpressOnce in a while, yeah. I've played a couple of Super Mario World hacks (have never finished most of them, though), one SMB3 hack (that being Mario Adventure), and past that, mostly hacks of RPGs. I've played a few Pokemon hacks (I still need to get around to Bronze, which is one that @"Archer" streamed a while back) and have Crimson Echoes (or what was left of it when it was C&D'd) sitting around waiting to be played, for instance. Plus sometimes I need to play a hack to test it, if it's one I've been working on. (Not that I've ever finished a hack, though. I really want to one day, though.) Posted by ArcherCouldn't really tell you. (Is that what it is? I'm not really up-to-date on music in most Mario games that are newer than 64!) |

Posted by ArcherHee hee. It's ID has "O_o" in it. Hmmm, tough call, as I actually have only played Double Dash, a bit of 64, and a bit of the SNES game. I'm gonna maybe go with... DK Mountain. Runner-up status to Wario Colosseum and Waluigi Stadium. Coincidence that it's those two? I dunno. |

Just in time, too. For what, though? Okay, okay, that's a good question, but nonetheless, Adel Volker just happened to show up in front of the only building in the field at about the same time. Giving the matter only a second or so of thought, Adel lets himself in. If someone complains, it was their own damn fault for leaving the door unlocked.
This might not have been the most useful place for Adel to hole up, but he figures that it'll have to do. He's lost as it is. Anywhere to hunker down will do for the time being. Before he goes much further into the building past the doorway, he shoves a hand into his messenger bag, just before turning around and closing the door behind himself. Searching the contents, he came to the conclusion that, yes, he had more than enough gear to engage in a little bounty-hunting, but there was one definite, major omission. "Damn," he grumbled, "I forgot my wallet back home." Shame he didn't have a whole lot of time to pack, either. That accomplished, Adel takes a look around the rest of the facility. Quickly, he comes to two conclusions: One: he hasn't been this thirsty in years, and two: getting work would probably be a pain in the ass. |

Posted by SquidEmpressHm, that's a tough call. I don't really like a lot of the Kaizo Mario World-type hacks from a design stance -- high-difficulty games can be done well and are perfectly acceptable in reasonable doses, but I'm just not a fan overall -- but I can't call them anywhere near the worst hack I've ever played. I'm going to give it to one with crummy as hell presentation, that being Pokemon Quartz. Honestly, that one's probably famous enough that I don't need to say anything more on the matter, and to be fair, I knew what I was getting into with it. Questionable graphics, questionable writing, questionable grammar, the presentation just never was very good. Granted, to be fair, the guy didn't speak English well, which explains a lot of the grammar issues -- but I think he could have stood, in that case, to get someone to help check his work. I try not to complain about that, because my English can be a little less-than-stellar, too, but when something seems either really weird or wrong to me, it annoys the hell out of me. I guess I've overall been spared most of the well-and-truly BAD ones, though. |
