The fact that Snes9x is not multiprocessor compatible, so you need to disable a core in Task Manager to avoid a total lockup of the computer. *shrug*

Uh...the only thing that's happened is that it's crashed numerous times. I have a quad-core too. With HT. So that'd mean 8 threads.

Not even I have that many open at once and Firefox has still used memory in the 600mb region at times. Even 1gb a couple of times. That was long ago, though. Nowadays it's much more common that it just freezes up and stops responding.

Could've sworn we posted specs in another thread before. Anyway, here're mine:

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) SP 1
CPU: Inte Core i7 2600k @ 3.4Ghz. Haven't bothered to overclock yet.
RAM: 8GB DDR3 PC-12800 @ 1600MHz (Dual-Channel)
GPU: 1gb Sparkle GeForce GTX 560 Ti (SLI)
HDDs: One Maxtor drive and three Western Digital ones.
Optical drives: A DVD-RW one.
Monitor: Dell Ultrasharp 24" U2412M IPS
Speakers: Logitech Z2300 2.1 system. I hear a lot of crap about Logitech but this system is great.
Keyboard: Saitek Eclipse II. Compact, comfortable and nice-looking.
Mouse: Logitech MX518. It's an old model but it's comfortable and works great.

I have now set some key bindings for Snes9x for saving purposes only.

0-9 selects savestates, F5 saves on the state I have selected and F8 loads them. Oh, and F12 takes screenshots. P pauses the game but I've noticed on the config page that it conflicts with a game button. I can't for the life of me find which one it is.

The only thing I remember of the last dream is clashing with Doc Ock. He had his 90s cartoon design. I was trying to get in close to him, he answered by slamming two of his tentacles on both my sides to try and stop me but I blocked them with my underarms, then pushed them off me. After that, I dashed up to his face and gave him two quick punches to get him off-balance, then gave him two heavy ones. By the time I dished out the last one, I woke up noticing that I was punching my pillow.
