HOT, and getting hotter

The high today is 93F/33C, and it's only May. At least humidity is only at 40%, and not at 100% (that'll probably change soon though.)

Best Buy is getting rid of CDs but I did pick up a nice haul today... really gonna miss buying from them (and yes, I still prefer physical media like CDs and DVDs :D)

Definitely prefer physical media as well, but everyone knows vinyl is the superior music format >:]

Kinda sad that CD's are becoming obsolete. Won't be long before DVD's are phased out completely, then I'd have to actually buy a Blu-ray player. It's also sad how everything is moving to the "cloud", but that's a topic for another day...

What do you think of cassettes? I collect those too :D (also vinyl) Have a lot of nostalgia for cassette tapes myself, used to tape stuff on the radio

I love cassettes as well. I actually got a new cassette recently, this one (awesome synthwave album by the way.) I've been meaning to blow some money on some Type 4 cassettes, but never get around to actually doing it...

I used to play around with micro-cassettes, and while being hard to find, they actually made Metal Tapes in micro-cassette form! (as well as a dual micro-cassette deck!)

Still workin' on getting all the collectibles and clearing the extra stages in Celeste. Already logged 25 hours, and I haven't even finished the B-sides! o_O

IRC should definitely be kept. Discord is convenient for some, but the thing about IRC is, it's practically universal.
There's no Discord client for Windows 9x, none for Plan 9, and certainly not one on the DS. However, all of these platforms have some way of connecting through IRC.

Another thing about Discord is that it is proprietary and hosted completely in the "cloud."

Yeah I use both the IRC and Discord (I can even access Discord through web browser on a PowerBook G4 and TenFourFox as well as a ThinkPad T61 running Windows 2000... sadly can't access it via Mac OS 9 or Windows 98)

XP can’t access through a browser either except if you use a chrome based browser, of which there are none updated for XP anymore, so Yandex Browser (Chrome 57) is best bet for now

Also maor something ugh news: Discord doesn’t allow you to use unofficial clients and risks a ban -.-

You can use Discord through a browser in XP, as a matter of fact an up-to-date one. There's a fork of Pale Moon for XP known as New Moon, and it's compatible with Discord.
