Six hours worth of playing, and I made it to The End of the World at level 48.
I quit for the night because I have shit to do and I had to reload four times because of cheap shit killing me. Hadn't died in the entire run, but the fucking Angel Stars are a BITCH to fight with basic equipment... If only I wasn't so set on getting the Unchanging Armor trophy, then I would deck myself out with gear to allow me to survive. The real breaking point was the Behemoth bubble... It took me about fifteen minutes of ceaseless cherry tapping to kill him, then I got killed in the next bubble due to Angel Star cuntery. I plan to grind a bit (about an hour or two at the Colosseum) then try again next week. I'm aiming for level 60 to beat the game. |

Since I finished out the stream for  Phyresis to get the Speedster, Undefeated, and Novice Player trophies for Kingdom Hearts, I figured I would load up the parallel save and grind a few levels now that I don't have the time constraint to worry about to get the Unchanging Armor trophy.
I'm sitting at level 51. Sora is considerably tankier than Donald and Goofy, if only because of the Ribbon, EXP Necklace, and the Power/Defense boosts given to me on the outset of the run. My stats are sitting at a piddly 51 HP, 33 Strength, and 34 Defense. The defense and HP don't bother me, since bumping the necklace to the Omega Arts for the parallel I finished only bumped me to 60 and 35 (respectively)... What kills me is the strength. The Divine Rose made the parallel bearable because I could do significantly more damage (13 strength on the Rose, as opposed to 3 strength on the Kingdom Key), which made the adage of "The best defense is a good offense" shine true. Nope! I stuck cherry tapping everything, which means I'm open to a fuckload more damage coming at my face. I could potentially grind up a boatload of materials for more Power Ups from the synth shop, but that requires a ton of material grinding just to get to the fourth tier of items, plus it's not exactly easy to get the materials... I need TEN to rival the power of the Rose, but there's no guarantee that boosting my raw strength will even affect my damage output since RPGs tend to have extra factors in damage calculation dependent on the power of the weapon, which makes having a higher base nigh useless. tl;dr I'm stuck in Kingdom Hearts on a trophy that should be trivial. |

I got in contact with the seller of the item and she sent me a picture she took of the shipping label. Everything on it was good, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
Hopefully things get straightened out and I get the games sometime next week. |

Pokemon Black 2 to make a team for XY. I have almost everything I need for the team minus the Eevee that I will be evolving into Sylveon.
I want the hidden ability (Anticipation) and the moves Wish (egg move), Hyper Voice (B2W2 tutor), and Heal Bell (B2W2 tutor)... One issue with that. It's not technically legal (according to Smogon on Showdown, it is). In Black 2/White 2, Hidden Eevee was only released as male. With the Hidden Ability mechanics of those games, only females can pass the hidden ability and only males can pass egg moves. As much as I really don't want to, I may have to cheat more than I would like to (I've been using my ROM on the DSTwo and modifying my save with Pokegen, everything is 100% legal, but I don't ant the headache of grinding). Fun shit. |

Or to be obtained while the dream world was available. So yeah, that is actually a legal combination. Since Dream World is no longer a thing, I used PokeGen to get it. Since Pokebank has a hack check, and I couldn't make a "legit" hidden Eevee (I generate it and it evolves with the hidden ability intact) using Pokegen itself, I sped through the Pokemon League and got the Eevee from Amanita, cloned him in Pokegen, gave one of the clones a sex and personality (from the original's Hasty to Calm) change and gave her an Everstone, then bred the clones together until one of the eggs hatched as female with Anticipation. I, in turn, modified her move list, boosted her IVs, gave her the EV spread I wanted, then cloned her and traded them off to my real Black 2 to be sent to Pokebank. Currently, the one that went to X is evolved and sitting at level 24. I kinda feel bad about cheating like that, but the set is otherwise impossible to achieve now. |

Got my competitive team to level 50 and outfitted them with their items.
Let me tell you... I thought that using the team for Battle Maison would be a good idea, but it's awful. You need to build a team that synergizes well with only three members. Using half of a six man team severely cripples what you're able to do. I went into Super Singles with Pinsir, Rotom-W, and Conkeldurr since I figured my main sweeper (Mega-Pinsir), Offensive pivot (Scarf Rotom-W), and tank (Assault Vest Conk) would work well together... I got to battle 5 and got wiped by a Wide Lens Gardevoir's (I only found out about this when I tricked the cunt Kenmore's scarf) bullshit of Hypnosis+Dream Eater. Either I'm too used to Smogon's metagame, or my team just isn't meant to be broken apart. Even if Battle Maison was 6v6, my team is technically illegal by Nintendo's asinine insistence on the item clause (Sylveon and Quagsire both carry Leftovers). I suppose I could swap out Doofus's lefties for Lum Berry or some shit, but I would rather have steady HP recovery between turns instead of a single-use get-out-of-jail-free status... Especially since Ribbon's Heal Bell kinda makes it moot. I can't run Shell Bell on either of them because they're basically my defensive core with no offensive investment, so they don't attack unless absolutely necessary. Ribbon is a Wish passer that only has offensive presence thanks to her ability making Hyper Voice more powerful (and a shit ton safer to use) version of stock Hyper Beam. Doofus is primarily a Toxic/Recover staller that runs Scald to cripple physical attackers and Earthquake on the off chance that someone's dumb enough to leave something that's weak to Ground in on him. It's funny how so few people know what Unaware is and insist on setting up anyway. I actually had an opponent set up their Scizor to +6 Attack, only to hit Superpower for a measly 12% damage. He said, "Holy shit that thing's bulky" to which I replied "Because he gives zero shits about your 4x modifier." Yeah for partial team analysis! |

Popped in Hyrule Warriors a few hours ago. I must say, it's pretty interesting.
I've done enough of Legend Mode to get to the part where the path branches. I haven't done anything in Free Mode yet, but the way it's described, it's just Legend Mode without the character limitations. Adventure Mode in interesting. It's a mode where you travel around the world map of Zelda 1 (complete with partial NES graphics in the interim areas, kinda jarring on the intro scroll where it's NES item graphics and border, with normal looking font). It gives you special missions to do on special maps, or in some cases, reuses maps fom Legend Mode (I did a mission where I was on Hyrule Field from Scenario 1). I looked at the alternate costumes for Link since I have his costumes from the DLC I have. The Kokiri tunic is a major stylistic disconnect from the others. Default Trainee Hello OoT3D At least Dark Link looks like the default They completely overhaul Link's appearance for the Kokiri Tunic and it makes him stick out like a sore thumb because he looks more cartoony and too clean compared to the rest of the cast. Eh, I got the costume for free, so I guess I can't bitch about it too much. |

Just finished up Legend Mode on Normal of Hyrule Warriors. Now I just need to do it all again on Hard in Free Mode because some of the treasures and gold Skulltulas require non-standard characters to fight through the level.
I also need to do the entirety of Adventure Mode and Challenge Mode. Should be interesting enough. |

More Hyrule Warriors. I made a little bit of progress in Adventure Mode. I unlocked Ghirahim, which only leaves Agitha and Zant in terms of playable characters left to unlock.
Getting a bit angry at my constant losses on missions that should be trivial. For instance, the mission to unlock Ghirahim (C-7 on the LoZ map) took SIX TRIES with Link and he's my strongest warrior by a LONG SHOT (Currently 44, the closest other is Fi and I used the Dojo to get her up there, from there it's Darunia and Impa at 29). The mission at E-8 (where Level 3 is on the first quest) is a pain in the ass because it has a heart piece for Ghirahim, a heart container for Midna if I can score an A-rank with her (fuck that noise, she's weak as shit even at level 25 [again, thanks to the Dojo]) two Skulltulas (one for 1k kills, the other for 1.2k kills while taking no more than four hearts of damage [a trend of Adventure Mode] luckily unlockable by anyone). I decided to go to Hard Mode challenges on Legend Mode. I'm completely done with the first four scenarios as far as collectables go. I still need to clear them on Easy and Hero. The former isn't worth the time right now and FUCK the latter. On Hard, enemies do no more than three quarters of a heart of damage. On Hero, mooks do upwards of FIVE FULL HEARTS in one hit... That's even to the Juggernaut that is Link. Adventure Mode progress so far. No. It's not as easy as it looks, note all of the silver B ranks because I said "Fuck it! [Warrior with an A-rank prize] is [too weak/I'm not good enough with them] to get this!" |

As for games for Christmas, I have several preorders and two of them are coming out in December so I'll call them "Christmas gifts" even though I'm buying them. They are: Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix and Sm4sh Wuu. |
