Nearly done with Legend Mode on Hard, including collectables.

I only have Enduring Resolve and Liberation of the Triforce left to do on Hard. After that, I may sweep through on Easy to clear them out as quickly as possible since I cheated on Battle of the Triforce to get Ganondorf's hearts and plan my strategy to get my four kills on Link and Zelda for the second Skulltula.

Speaking of Battle of the Triforce's second Skulltula, that one was kinda tricky because I originally tried it painfully underleveled (23) and not realizing how the AI runs Link and Zelda. They rushed directly to my base and fucked it six ways from the second Tuesday of next week because of it.

What you have to do is beat Link when he first appears on the battlefield then take West Field Keep, Central Keep and East Field Keep as quickly as possible. The two former keeps distract Link for you to beat the piss out of him, and the latter distracts Zelda if you don't get to her fast enough or if Ghirahim ends up falling before he gets a chance to slow her down. KO them a combined four times to make the Skulltula appear on the northern wall of Mountain Keep. You also have to be careful that you aren't overly aggressive that you KO them both at the same time because that's your win condition for the map. I used the Dojo to level to 35 before trying this, by the way. It may have been a bit of overkill, but I needed the extra damage output since I still only have Ganondorf's basic Swords of Despair.

PROTIP: Ignore Zant's advance on Rockface Checkpoint until you beat the first time Link and take the Center and East Keeps. It's much easier that way.

Another Skulltula that gave me a lot of trouble was Shining Beacon because it requires using Lana's spear, which is not my forte when using her (Sealing Tome all the way!). What you have to do is beat Volga at least two times before advancing to take on Cia. This is hard because you have to beat on him while he's powered up before using the Great Fairy's magic circle, then beat on him after the fact (admittedly easier since part of the second half has Zelda dissuading him from using Cia's magic).

Here's the catch: You can't let any of your allies flee. Luckily, this only applies to Darunia, Fi, Impa, Link, Midna, Ruto, and Zelda (you can let the Hylian Captains go if you have to). This becomes a hassle when you take into consideration that the enemies are incredibly aggressive until you gain control of the three sanctums. None of your allies are particularly keen on protecting themselves or each other, so you end up having to beeline from whichever sanctum you're helping at to bail out Fi (if you're at East Sanctum) or the collective of Zelda and Impa (if you're at the West Sanctum), or worse all three (if you're at the South Sanctum or taking another keep for the sake of thinning out the enemy army's forces).

Helpful screenshots:

Battle of the Triforce Map

On a side note since I had the Hauppauge plugged in for screenshots anyway:
Adventure Mode right now

Sounds interesting. I'm sure I could cobble something together. What's the time frame to have the layout designed? Halloween?

Nearly done with 100% completing Hyrule Warriors.

All I have left to do is unlock the northwestern-most corner of the map, as far as the map is concerned. This requires at least clearing one of two levels that are character-limited to characters I am nigh totally unfamiliar with using. Those characters being Agitha and Zant.

I haven't tried Zant's stage yet, but it has a heart piece and container for him, two Gold Skulltulas, and his Scimitar of Twilight (A-rank).

Agitha's stage is on a Ganon's Tower map that has a a heart piece and container for her and her Princess Parasol (A-rank). This stage is abso-fucking-lutely crawling with Dinolfols (I counted SEVENTEEN of the fuckers on the info screen) that travel in packs of three or more. If I could use a standard melee-class warrior, it'd be fine since I have a strategy with most enemies of: hit them with with weak attacks until they defend, combat roll around them, smack them in the back until they defend again, rinse, repeat.

Agitha is a more magic-based warrior, which means she attacks slowly and is left WIDE OPEN during the charge time of her strong attacks, which are damn near essential to getting any damage out of her. The only other option is to use her incredibly overpowered weak-point smash that hits the target like a truck twice as well as any enemies in the immediate vicinity, typically leaving the target dazed for another smash attack (usually only works like that on Stalmasters and Darknuts since they're easily made vulnerable anyway).

My main issue isn't the sheer number of enemies, it's the daunting task of staying within the 10k damage (25 hearts) threshold of the rank. It wouldn't be bad if I didn't have to be cautious to paranoia levels because they hit me for absurd amounts of damage in a single hit! We're talking, like, four hearts a swing! I hate how I know that gaining a few more levels as well as getting my damage reduction badges will help, but it's daunting grinding the materials and exp. The training dojo isn't an option anymore since level 50 and beyond is when Koei decided to say, "Hey! Let's double the exp requirement from 49 to 50, then resume the normal increment from there all the way to level 99!" and make it super fucking expensive! As detailed in this spreadsheet.

The rest of my unlockables are:
-10 Sealed Weapons
-18 Gold Skulltulas
-30 Heart Containers
-32 Heart Pieces
-41 A-Ranks (46 if you want to split hairs and count the Rewards Map, sheerly for vanity purposes)

Long story short: I still have a lot of work ahead of me. I already have 120 hours invested in this game...

I have sworn off of Micro$oft ever since they pulled a "fuck you" on the consumers with Windows 8 and the massive "FUCK YOU" to the gaming community with the reveal of the Xbone.

I don't care that they backpedaled on their asinine shit with the Xbone. They had the audacity to put it in place to begin with, so why should I trust them to not reinstate it?

The PS4 is my choice if I must choose. Otherwise, Wii U.

Gonna chalk tonight's stream up to a failure. The turnout was great, but the gameplay was a train wreck.

I lost to May twice at the start and had to reroll, then I finally got the ball rolling and got to the Mauville gym. Not having something I could teach Rock Smash to (that I wanted to spend a slot on) meant that I couldn't continue.

My team at the end was:
Raphael the Wartortle, level 30
Wraith the Misdreavus, level 31

I'll be trying again the next time I stream, so Emerald isn't trashed yet.

Been playing Castlevania Circle of the Moon since Hyrule Warriors has gotten annoying.

I'm about four hours in, and have uncovered about 70% of the map. I just broke into the Underground Waterway, which is actually my second visit since I forgot where to find the Cleansing and nearly ate shit getting back out because of the combination of the insane damage tick of being in the poison water and the fact that the Ice Armors hit like a fucking truck. I actually stopped for the night because an Ice Shade killed me while I was trying to summon Unicorn to heal.

After a false start that opened with the EXACT SAME starters as Silver, I actually got the ball rolling on this new Randlocke.

I'm instating a new rule, known as the Lazarus Rule. This allows me to revive a fallen Pokemon once if I have a revival item (Revive, Max Revive, Sacred Ash, or Revival Herb) in my inventory. Only if I have a revival item in my inventory, before I reach a PC that can access Lanette's storage. As a limiter, I am not allowing myself to buy Revives or Revival Herbs.

My current team, in order of meeting them:

Drake, level 30. Met on Rt 101 as a Charmander at level 2.
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Docile
Moves: Triple Kick, Cut, Tail Glow, Hidden Power (Fire)

Illuminati, level 31. Met on Rt 104 at level 4. She has been revived once after dying to Mark's (Wattson) Mightyena's Sand Tomb residual damage.
Ability: Guts
Nature: Lax
Moves: Slack Off, Blaze Kick, Fury Cutter, Horn Attack

Ballbreakr, level 32. Met on Rt 116 at level 8.
Ability: Thick Fat
Nature: Brave
Moves: Wing Attack, Shadow Ball, Fire Punch, Luster Purge

Dori, level 19. Met in Petalburg City at level 7.
Ability: Run Away
Nature: Brave
Moves: Morning Sun, Rock Smash, Confusion, Twister

Binarch, level 15. Met on Rt 112 at level 15.
Ability: Overgrow
Nature: Lonely
Moves: Heat Wave, Hypnosis, Bind, Vital Throw

Baconator, level 18. Met on Rt 111 at level 5.
Ability: Chlorophyll
Nature: Impish
Moves: Sludge Bomb, Thunderbolt, Calm Mind, Wing Attack

Current progress:
Fallarbor Town, getting ready to go out onto Rt 114 to go to Meteor Falls to confront Team Magma.

Current Reserves:
Hayden, the level 16 Pinsir, met on Fiery Path.

Current Casualties (in order of meeting):
-PotatoChip the Oddish, given to me as a gift from Prof Birch. Blown into pieces by a kamikaze Hitmonlee's Selfdestruct on Rt 104. She was taken from us too soon. Levels 5-9
-Exxon the Grimer, met on Rt 103. Undone by his own sandstorm in Granite Cave. Levels 2-17.
-Monarch the Silcoon, met on Rt 102. Trapped on the battlefield by Megadeus and Pounded into submission, he gave his life so that we could catch the behemoth. Levels 4-8.
-Megadeus the Aggron, met in Petalburg Woods. Trapped by Zoey's (Roxanne) Altaria's Magnets, he was roasted alive by its ravenous Flamethrower. Good night, sweet prince. Levels 6-12.
-Wormy the Dratini, met in Rusturf Tunnel. Chased down by Palindrome's Pursuit as he tried to make an escape. Little bugger never stood a chance. Levels 7-11.
-Palindrome the Girafarig, met in Granite Cave. Breathed his last ragged breaths as poison consumed him on Rt 105. Level 8.
-The unnamed Exeggcute I met on Rt 110. Illuminati didn't know her own strength as she punctured each egg with a misplaced Horn Attack while trying to weaken it. Level 13.
-Omelette the Blissey, met on Rt 117. Ironically destroyed by an Egg Bomb placed by the dastardly Pinsir on Rt 117. She died too young. Levels 13-21.
-The unnamed Kabutops I met on Rt 113. It couldn't withstand the burn inflicted upon it by Ballbreakr's Fire Punch. It lays in a shallow grave of fallen ashes. Level 14.

You didn't miss much after you left. I think I was on Rt 112 when you signed off. You only missed Ballbreakr killing Kabutops and getting to Fallarbor Town.

If things go as I plan them to, I'll be continuing the stream tomorrow since I have the day off of work.

I figure it was as good a time as any. The only thing I did off camera was use a few cheats to max Dori's Beauty, because fuck being stuck with Feebas until Lilycove City.

I know that the whole point of a Nuzlocke is to be challenging, but I want some leeway for levity. Otherwise, it's nothing more than me screaming in frustration at the game.

The second session went well.

Illuminati: Same as before, only higher level.

Ballbreakr
Moves: Sludge Bomb, Wing Attack, Shadow Ball, Fire Punch

Dori
Ability: Torrent
Moves: Surf, Needle Arm, Flame Wheel, Rock Smash

Hayden, pulled from the reserves.
Ability: White Smoke
Nature: Adamant
Moves: Egg Bomb, Weather Ball, Karate Chop, Sand Tomb

Horny, hatched from the Lavaridge egg on Rt 110.
Ability: Huge Power
Nature: Careful
Moves: Weather Ball, Heat Wave, Thunder Punch, Cosmic Power

Current Progress: Fortree City, ready to face the gym.

Current Reserves:
-Binarch, level 19
-Nosey, the level 17 Nosepass, met on Rt 114.
-Shellshock, the level 17 Cloyster, met in Meteor Falls.
-Hellhound, the level 21 Houndour, met on Jagged Path
-Tumblr, the level 20 Sealeo, met in the Mirage Tower
-Clara, the level 20 Aerodactyl, met in the desert on Rt 111
-Groot, the level 23 Cradily, met in New Mauville
-Puff, the level 25 Jumpluff, given as a gift from the Weather institute
-Relic, the level 25 Claydol, met on Rt 120

Pokemon of note:

Bling, the level 14 shiny Kabutops, met on Rt 113. Unusable since it wasn't the first Pokemon I caught in Rt 113.

New casualties, in order of meeting them:
-Baconator the Grumpig, met in a rock on Rt 111. Beaten to death in a pile of bones by a Blaziken on Rt 114. Levels 5-23.
-The unnamed Trapinch on Rt 118. Dori smashed its skull like a rock, killing it instead of just weakening it. Level 28.
-The unnamed Pichu on Rt 119. Again, Dori bludgeoned it to death. Its brains are splattered throughout the tall grass. Level 25.

Well, Snakewood turned out to be a steaming pile of shit, so I decided to continue RandEmerald instead.

That went far better, if not a bit frustrating.

The team (all 46 now):

Illuminati.
Moves: Fly, Blaze Kick, Fury Cutter, Slack Off

Ballbreakr, same as before.

Dori
Moves: Surf, Needle Arm, Flame Wheel, Cut

Hayden
Moves: Shadow Ball, Weather Ball, Karate Chop, Sand Tomb

Horny
Moves: Slash, Weather Ball, Heat Wave, Thunderpunch

Yoshi makes a triumphant return, met in the Aqua Base at level 30 as an Ivysaur.
Ability: Magma Armor
Nature: Lax
Moves: Blizzard, Razor Leaf, Aurora Beam, Mega Punch

Progress: Lilicove City, having just completed the Aqua Base. Next stop: Mossdeep City.

New reserves:
Shellshock, now level 25.
Thuglix, the level 27 Steelix, met on Rt 121.
Hot Shit!!, the level 15 Slugma, met on Rt 122.

New casualties:
-Drake the Charizard, met on Rt 101 as a Charmander. Not long after being revived by Lazarus with his demise to the Wailord's counterattack on Rt 120, he was cut down for a second time by a Chinchou's Hydro Cannon in the pouring rain farther down the Rt 120 trail. Poor bastard didn't know what hit him. Levels 2-41.
-Geico the Grovyle, met in the graveyard of Mt Pyre. Met his demise once to a Jolteon's Aeroblast in the Magma Hideout and was allowed to return tho the world of the living by Lazarus. Met his true demise at the claws of Zangoose's Brick Break in the Aqua Hideout. In the words of ZidaneDude, "Man, the economy is really killing Geico." Levels 28-35.
-The unnamed Dodrio I met in the Magma Hideout. Destroyed by Illuminati's Fury Cutter. Level 28.
-Manatee, the Snorlax, met in Lilycove City. Killed during training by a Gligar's Dynamic Punch on Rt 119. Levels 20-26.

If there are any theories that say "[Example A] is the same Pokemon as [Example B]" that holds any water, in my opinion, it would have to be that Suicune, Raikou, and Entei are a reincarnation of Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon (respectively). Mostly because it has some grounding in the actual gameplay.

Both trios are Water, Electric, and Fire. Also, the Johto beasts also have their hidden abilities that are identical to the standard ability of their respective Eeveelution (Water Absorb, Flash Fire, and Volt Absorb, again respectively).

Hate to say it, Hawk, but your theory is kinda bunk.

I'm getting tired of seeing the main thread get clustered with Out of Character discussion.

If you need to say something about what's going on, reference the post with a link.

I will be cleaning up the main thread after posting this.

As for an actual point to this post: I haven't been in the mood to write lately, that's why I haven't done anything with the storyline.
