I do feel like I'm the only one still using "standard" ratio monitors (been considering widescreen for awhile but I have no idea what brands are good).
I have been using 1600x1200 until 2009. Full HD (1920x1080) becoming the standard is what made me jump on the wide screen bandwagon.
Basically you can't go wrong with Samsung, even monitors of lots of other brands (including the fancy Eizo) have Samsung panels.
The only reason I got this specific LG is that it gives very good results in colour quality as well as in speed. Usually it's just one of the two. It depends on how you use it, which is more important.
Check reviews.

As this forum is named after Betamax...
I wonder how many of you ever actually used a Betamax VCR (I remember I did, noisy spring-loaded buttons FTW), or the even better, the Philips Video 2000 system (perfect still image).
But in this thread I would like to know about what the thread title says.

After using my brother's Scheidegger typing machine for a while, I was a proud owner of a Commodore 64. I liked the simple but often creatively designed games, and I programmed some funny shit in BASIC and assembler. I also made an NSFW futa game in SEUCK, I am glad I don't have it anymore :P
Some of the games I enjoyed were Spy Hunter, Space Taxi and Fort Apocalypse.

My first PC was a crappy Packard Bell 486SX. Half of its 160 MB hard drive was filled with crapware. Some games I enjoyed by then were Megarace, Simcity and Doom.

There was never one Adam Sandler joke I found funny.
I do however like Home Alone (only the first one).

Fun fact: in the MLP:FIM episode "Luna Eclipsed", Princess Luna does not know what "fun" is. This is because, in actual fact, the word "fun" is only about 300 or so years old. Luna had been stuck on the moon for a thousand years. She most certainly knows what fun is -- just not the actual word.

I AM playing a game which takes place on the moon right now. :3
GB/NES DuckTales :D

=> Kawa: give the new board a disconcerting stare.

{picture}

You spend the next couple of minutes pondering what you see.
Imagine what it would be like, having to live in the same house with him for over 5 years :P

I just had to hear this again when I found out the name of the new IRC network.

<object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/v_7NDQxfSqc?version=3&feature=player_detailpage" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="360"></object>

Kinda brings back the good old 90's for me, I remember the video actually looked cool by then XD

I always try to make my layouts look good on 1024 pixels of width, for netbook and tablet compatibility.
mSprout's layout does not seem to fit that (BTW do we have blocklayout?).

I'm trying, Ailure, but I can't get anything for that side of the layout to work properly. :(

Slip another full-size div tag in there with a semitransparent .png left-aligned.

I think. That's what I'd do.

Also, I'd suggest not using classes like "side" or "back" or "main". Put a personal spin on it so someone else's layout won't fuck with yours, like maybe "jetside".
Easy, like ABXD's layoutmaker, use things like .mainbarxx and .postxx where xx is your userID.

Also, what's .postX supposed to be? I know of mainbar, topbar and sidebar. And only mainbar is supported here at the moment.
Dude, you are the one who teached me how to make post layouts!
Mainbar is the background, Post is the actual box the text is in.

.post is not part of the system, but of your layout specifically. It's the name of a div element your layout provides, whereas .mainbarX is provided by the forum.
Again, I was talking about the layoutmaker, but never mind.

Could we at least thin the number of place? I couldn't find any cities actually near where I live. It's just too much.
So many different implementations of DST around the world :(

I almost want to play Charm II again - but I need to make a clone exe to read the old level files.
Can't you use DOSBox?

No. It's a 16-bit windows exe. :/
Kinda unique - I know it was programmed in VB3 (due to a dll file)
Then it should work on DOSBox, I got my old Windows 3.11 games working on it, even the ones that use WinG (prototype DirectX).
You will need the files on the original Windows 3.11 floppies and install it in DOSBox though (Google is your friend).
