Wasn't there one Boulder Dash clone with, like, a debug mode you accessed through the function keys, and... two different types of plasma that could expand at different rates?
Only ones I know from that time are Supaplex and Trugg.
You might want to try Rocks & Diamonds, an open-source game that can emulate nearly every Boulder Dash/Sokoban game.

Netbooks are pretty popular amongst the average user crowd here. Most people are happy enough with surfing and using simple applications, and don't need big beefy CPU/GPU for their tasks.
Angry Birds (x86) is sold in the Intel AppUp store for netbooks. I played it on mine as well, all though I like it much more on a bigger screen.

Will there be an Angry Birds 3DS?
