Ice cream? Ice cream!

Chocolate flavoured Ice cream, that is. It's basically what I've eaten just now, even though I didn't eat as much as I usually do.

Probably it's a good thing considering how well the day started.

I dreamt about this some time ago, but it was so screwed up I have to mention it.

There was a place up in the sky, on the clouds. Many people were staying there, because it was place to chill out and chat. [Looking back this seemed like a fictionalized version of a certain online board]. Up on a tower there was something that looked like a LED timer. It was the only thing that stabilized this place.

Suddenly, a Disgaea 3 warrior (very likely Xkeeper) blew that LED thingy up using TNT. Hell broke loose.

First, an earthquake (!). Then the clouds disappeared making nearly everybody fall down back to Earth. Some (including me, go figure) were lucky enough to grab some platforms that looked like the Vaus from Arkanoid. The cloudy paradise was no more.

Then I woke up, realizing how screwed up that dream was.

PC-88!
It's a Mario game!
And it's in a folder named "Poor man's version of SMB".

That can't be good.

While I can more or less play the X1 version, the PC-88 one is horrible. Even worse controls and screen going black instead of scrolling (I mean, Mappy and other games managed to have smooth scrolling on PC-88. There is no "Technical limitations" excuse here) are a killer.

Nope. The "closest" to this was a Windows XP SP1 machine on a Pentium 4 with 128MB of RAM.

It ran faster than the other machines though since I more or less prevented Windows rot.
For the longest time, this was the "MAME Machine", since I had no way to move it to anywhere else (I could only play Arcade games there).

I had to live without internet for two days because the room where the modem is had to be repainted (and that took two days).
