If drugs had no effect on you, which one would you want to do most? Given you would?
If they had no effect what would be the point of doing them? o_O

I mean effect, as in death or other various problems tha cause it.. then what would it be?

Well the problem is that if you get rid of all the potential problems there's no reason not to do any drug!

Well, I'd probably avoid the hallucinogens.

If you could create a non-medical drug, what would its effect be?

-10 to Strength, +10 to Charisma.

@Nicole: Speaking of math. How far did you get?

Misread this as meth thanks to the drug discussion.

Technically the last purely math class I took was Calculus. (of a single variable! in high school!) But I took plenty of math-physics courses and of course physics involves all sorts of math-y things, but I mostly picked those up on the way.

Whats the way you usually spill bad news? straight forward, or perhaps a long way of a nice let down?

Dance around it for awhile, desperately hoping someone else will spill the beans so I don't have to.

When I was in high school in the summer I often went to a local deli and ordered a sandwich on a sub roll with grilled chicken, mayonnaise, and lettuce. Today I decided to recreate it- I actually managed to get pretty close to my memory and it was really good, too. :D

What about random answers?

If you fail to understand the deeper meaning of my answers that is your own fault.

Future generations will revere the archives of this thread and the other one as a holy text that is to be interpreted literally. (Future generations are kind of fucked)

Probably because future generations would skim through this thread and only pick up on words like "fuck".

Future generations are perpetually 12 years old. "Oh my god, she said fuck!"

Speaki No, Natalie, don't even go there.

What's your favorite explanation for why God is not omniscient, omnipotent, AND omnibenevolent?

Can I say my favorite one for why he is instead? "God created logic and therefore logic does not apply to Him" Just bask in its perfection. How can you argue against it? You can only argue using logic! Checkmate, Atheists!

Alternatively, (also stolen from SMBC) if God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnibenevolent, how do you explain yo mama?

EDIT:
Posted by Gywall
When do you suspect human beings will start devolution?

I believe in the literal truth of the Super Mario Bros. movie, and therefore it's clear that it won't be human beings finding de-evolution, but instead hyper-evolved dinosaurs who by sheer evolutionary coincidence look a lot like human beings.

Speaking of Mario, If you could have any powerup what one would you pick?

The raccoon tail, so I could jump down from balconies and such without getting hurt on the landing, and fly if I ran fast enough.

Also the ears are cute.

Which Paper Mario would you consider the best?

I had the most fun with Thousand-Year Door; I feel like it basically did everything right and improved on the first game in clever ways... whereas Super Paper Mario was something else and it could have done the "something else" better. (It's a shame that it seems SPM will never get its own TTYD-type sequel that improves on it, it could use it)

I personally find the amount of time that it takes to get to and from school more distasteful than school itself- I really need to find an apartment closer to the campus.

Also I've found I much prefer taking classes to teaching them :P

I propose that both of you have no idea how the real world actually works.

I would go a step further and propose that no one on this forum (myself included) has any idea how the real world actually works.

I could go a step beyond that and say no one at all does, but I'm not sure we want to go into metaphysics here.

Personally, my biggest problem is not being motivated enough to do the work- usually I can do the work I've been assigned without too much issue, but I have to motivate myself to sit down and do it, and not immediately give up when it requires thought. Since I tend to spend most of my "wasted" time on the internet, blocking myself from websites (I do this through self-control, but I think there are plugins out there for web browsers) and chat programs until the work is done (or has begun in seriousness- smaller goals can be motivating as they make it seem more reasonable) can help here.

Additionally, I've found that writing more and then having to clean things up at the end is generally faster than being careful and cautious in writing and thinking everything out- usually nowadays when I do problem sets I accumulate a lot of wasted paper, since I just will write any direction that makes sense when solving a problem- doesn't work? Throw it out and start over. Of course, I imagine whether this strategy works or not depends on how your mind goes about solving things.

What are your thoughts on the Timpani and Blumiere story for SPM?

I haven't played that game for awhile- I do remember not feeling particularly connected to the story in general. (But that's usually fine for a Mario game)

The weather continues to be nice out temperature-wise (63F) but cloudy with the occasional brief bursts of rain, which are annoying.

Not that I'd know, since I seem to be bent on staying all day inside. :P

If you could win the lottery, how would you spend the money?

First thing is I'd buy a nicer apartment closer to downtown Boston. In general I'd try to be more frugal with it, but I imagine that never really works... I might try something crazy and drop out of school so that I could try a different career path with a cushion to support me during that period, but even that seems too risky.

What about cars? What is your favorite Model/maker .etc?

I hate driving and greatly prefer public transit, especially trolleys. (Unlike most people who seem to have this view, for me this is more for lifestyle reasons than environmental reasons)

That said, General Motors/Cadillac- in general I like large boldly-designed American luxury cars, and Cadillac seems to be the only mass-market manufacturer doing anything close to that nowadays. :P Lincolns look too rounded and too much like Fords to me (and I have a personal bias against Ford), and while the 300 is neat and I appreciate their dedication to the convertible Chrysler still has a ways to go. (Though they're probably my next favorite)
