it's actually pretty much that. you can make your limbs either shorter or longer just by messing with the bones themselves, I saw a documentary on that a long time ago. I'll try to explain, here goes..

first is understanding how a bone works. when you break one of your bones, the pieces will reunite as one after a certain period of time (ranging from a couple weeks to months), filling empty bits with new bone. as such, if you cut a bone into two then pull the pieces apart and force them still, both pieces will grow in size towards eachother in order to become one single bone.

you can do the opposite and take away tiny pieces in order to shrink your limbs. in the end the bone will be normal, it's the same process than when you accidentally break a bone.

so.. it's a bit freaky I realize. also this is only from memory and I'm not finding many results from looking it up.


.....would you ever do this though? I mean theorically, if your height matters much to you.

Don't worry, I found the post interesting... but no, I don't think I would do that, it sounds... quite painful, to do in a living person. (And I'm 6'1" so any substantial height reduction that only impacted the limbs would probably just leave my torso out of proportion...)

Perhaps one day we can 3D print new bodies :P

If you could 3D print a new body, how old would you be?

Probably around 21? I imagine it'll be a huge pain to print new bodies, so I'd want to get a decent amount of time out of it, while not being like a child...

What did you think of The Last Jedi?

It seems to be a very "love it or hate it" movie, but personally I loved it! Felt like they took a lot more risks than The Force Awakens and I think they paid off; can't wait to see what Episode IX does. (Though they're going back to Abrams for it)

From what I can tell, they're currently trying to do a lot to treat the women's matches similar to how they treat the men rather than just being about sex appeal... I don't think any of the women-specific match types exist anymore.
