Which is the most annoying type of death in a video game?

A glitch death that makes the game unable to be completed and forces you to reset, especially in a game without saving

Or a death from one of those stupid "enemy who chases you and follows your every motion, forcing you to constantly move" gimmicks (Shadow Mario, for example, who convinced me to give up on Super Mario 3D Land.)

Who won the 8-bit computer war, Apple or Commodore?

Commodore won the battle (most units sold), Apple won the war...

The "Platinum" Apple IIe was discontinued in Nov. 1993, the Commodore 64C in April 1994, but the Apple IIe Card hung on until May 1995-- I'd say it counts, just barely. After all, by then Commodore International was gone.

One wonders what would've happened had the Amiga captured the desktop publishing market rather than the Macintosh (and thus almost certainly dooming Apple to liquidation in the early 90's); with their production costs on the 8-bit machine so low Commodore may have kept making the 64 into the late 90's, or however long it would take until there was literally no one left to buy one. Can you imagine choosing between a C64 and a Pentium II?

No retro machine is worth the money, honestly.

I had a CDX as a kid and I think I'd prefer that, you can use it as a CD player too, perfect for long car trips

Yep; same category of interest of things like modern ruins; something that has all the signs of modernity but has been outright abandoned, that's really a powerful thing IMO.

I wouldn't be surprised if you could get them to, but I would be surprised if they work in situ... looks like the building is open to the elements, and must have been for years.

Here, have another modern ruin... Nara Dreamland was closed in 2006 (and demolished just last year) and there are plenty of things of people sneaking into it closed, but this review from when it was still open is IMO the most haunting...
