♥13561 ✿4495 ★20 Posted by DarkWitchClaire Well, I put a whole PC in one but my original plan was to put a motherboard in it, I just got lazy and used a NUC so I didn't have to worry as much about cooling Posted by Danika Clyde Tombaugh-- PLUTO DESERVES BETTER |

♥13562 ✿4495 ★20 Posted by DarkWitchClaire 2KB of RAM was enough for the NES, it's enough for me! Unless I add more to my cartridge |

♥13563 ✿4495 ★20 Posted by DarkWitchClaire Hm... I'm sure there's examples of this, but none come immediately to mind; sometimes I pronounce "NASA" like "Nassau" but that's a deliberate affectation. |

♥13564 ✿4495 ★20 Posted by DarkWitchClaire I'd put an optical drive on my 1979 ][plus, I don't have anything older There was CD-ROM software for the Apple //e, but by 1988 most software required 128k of RAM and a 65C02, so I doubt there's actually anything that would run on such an old machine, though... But putting an optical drive on an 8-bit computer is something I find hilarious, it's a big part of why I'm making a TurboGrafx-CD game. |

♥13565 ✿4495 ★20 Posted by Danika Unless you want to have a stock 486 machine, I say go for it! Always fun to try out period-accurate upgrades. Posted by DarkWitchClaire The Famicom Disk System, which adds one channel of wavetable synthesis. Man, what question can the FDS not answer? Also, the Gravis UltraSound, if that counts. Love that Jazz Jackrabbit soundtrack. |

♥13566 ✿4495 ★20 Posted by Danika I mean, under our current understanding there can't be anything before the Big Bang by definition; finding out something before it means the event isn't really a "Big Bang" as we currently understand it. But I'm always open to different ideas. And I don't think the universe will end, unless the Overmind accidentally unplugs the machine running the simulation while vacuuming. |

♥13567 ✿4495 ★20 Posted by Danika Haven't played it in 2020, but it held up last time I checked. Better than most Nintendo 64 games, I expect. |

♥13569 ✿4495 ★20 Posted by DarkWitchClaire Possibly the Sega SF-7000 disk system for the SC-3000 computer, but they're too hard to get ahold of so I will never find out |

♥13570 ✿4495 ★20 I caught Amy! She's the first of the Phantasy Star 2 characters for me.
Which means I have to go grind for three hours to get her levels at a decent point, sigh |

♥13571 ✿4495 ★20 Posted by Danika Insofar as they show up on twitter, yeah! Some real interesting stuff. Posted by DarkWitchClaire The MSX LaserDisc add-on is cool and all, but the MSX VHD is cooler. And not just because it had Time Gal. Okay it's mostly because of Time Gal |

♥13573 ✿4495 ★20 Posted by Danika Peach showed up as a sprite on this page. It is a sign, she's fine, it's all alright, hail to the Posted by DarkWitchClaire MilkyTracker has been my favorite lately (making the music for Space Ava 201 in it), really enjoying it. Finding samples is the hard part; I found a DX7 pack somewhere and a bunch of Amiga-era samples from the Internet Archive, so that's what I've been using mostly for now. |

♥13575 ✿4495 ★20 board2? I really don't know; it's been on the decline for awhile, but really whether it's up or not depends on blackhole89... I don't even know how to contact that guy nowadays o.o |

♥13578 ✿4495 ★20 Posted by Danika Well my first thought is, wow, she's cute as hell. But I'm not sure I hear the Sonic connection; there's definitely some FM synth instruments, though. Probably a DX7. And the Genesis also used FM synth, so maybe that's what you mean? |

♥13579 ✿4495 ★20 Posted by Danika Quartz Quadrant! It might be my favorite zone in all of the series; not surprising it'd be from that game since Sonic the Hedgehog CD has a lot of the best zones in general. Stardust Speedway, Tidal Tempest (if only for the JP/EUR music!), Metallic Madness (shrinking Sonic), Palmtree Panic (giant loop!!)... |
