Bel: I understand your hair is important. I really do. I'd prefer it looking like it usually does too. But winning this upcoming battle is even more so, wouldn't you agree? As for your new personality, I feel a mix of the two would fit but you can't force a certain way of being onto someone. You're gonna have to find out what feels the most natural for you. It's not necessarily how you are right now. I could try and help you with that once this is all over.

Bel has since found a boulder to sit down on while conversing with the others.

Bel nods in response to the immediate discussion with Caionna.

Bel: Don't worry, Cai. I understand if you need some time for this. I wouldn't force my assistance onto anyone. Just know that I'm there for you if you need it.

He rises from his seated position and walks closer to the crystals to get a good look at them. He then picks one up and turns it in his hand a few times before handing it over to Caionna. He watches as she walks over to the harpy and restores some of her strength.

(That was well needed, I'd say.)

Replying to the harpy girl's comment, he says: They basically tricked you into thinking that was the norm. Don't worry about it. Wasn't your fault.

Bel just barely manages to hold back a snicker due to Zarik's face expression changing after his unwitting encouragment to the harpy. Hearing Zissou's call he takes his place at one of the empty designated corners.

(Hm. Who'd think magic could pollute the air.) Bel thinks to himself as he looks around the now crystal-less field. Hearing Aren's muttering he walks over to him and explains the situation in a low voice (as in volume, not the tone) to not let the Neris hear it.

Bel: It was best she heard it from him. You must've noticed she kiiinda likes him.

Raising his voice to normal to address Caionna's comment about not thining of cleaning them off, he says: It wasn't so much forgetting to do it as removing immediate threats having higher priority. We had to make sure we were safe.

Casting a glance in Neris's direction he thinks: (Yeah, that looks better. I bet the coloration of the hair and feathers will improve once she's gotten some rest and food after this too.)

Then came the whistle which made Bel's facial expression change to a frown.

Bel: Dammit, Zarik. If I wanted to damage my hearing, I could think of better ways. Even Roff must've heard that.

Bel: Where does he think he's going? He made it clear we're not stupid enough to fall for any traps or hollow promises of cease-fires. Yet he takes off with that green stain.

Also, Neris, there's no need to fear them. If Zerilisk was their second-in-command, the standards must be pretty low. I assume you're scared for Zarik's sake then?

Bel: I find it hard to believe that'd have vaporized everything in the area. We made it just fine and we were close to the blast too. In any case, I could go with Zarik gathering wood for the fire.

Bel goes with Zarik into the woods to find some good, thick branches to cut down for the fire. He takes out his sword and cuts down several branches that looks like they'd burn well and shaves off eventual twigs and also slices them in smaller bits to make them easier to put in the fire. Finally, he summons a telekinetic field around the lot to carry them back to the camp.

Coming back, he telekinetically puts the firewood in staples far enough from the area of the fire to not have them accidentally catch fire.

Bel fills his plate with a bit of everything and sits down next to the bonfire to eat his food. There he remains while Zarik and Aren attemtps to lighten the mood, in thoughts about the coming day. He can't help but feel like there's something wrong. A feeling of mild dread, the cause unknown to him. He follows the men into the shelter once the fire dies down.

Bel: Should I have my familiar scout the area during the night? He could easily keep watch from a tree and alert me if anything approaches from outside the safety zone.

Bel, who's in his usual meditative state, is abruptly interrupted from it, even though it can normally be canceled at will.

Bel: Good LORD, Neris! Who needs an alarm, anyway? Bel shouts, or, at least he attempts to but he can't hear his own voice over the siren and the shriek, in addition to his own hands swiftly covering his ears. Once the alarm stops, he takes his hands off his ears.

Bel: Nngh. I might have to take safety precautions for that horrible scream of hers. Bel says, still in visible pain from the cacophony of noise.

He listens in on the argument before raising his hands in the air slightly as a response to the glance from Zissou and Aren. Then he goes back into meditation, levitating a foot or so in the air.
