That must be related to the paging. For example, if there are 93 pages when viewing All, but only 64 when viewing Males, and you're viewing page 82, when switching modes you'll stay to page 82. You'll need to click the page links to go to a page number that isn't out of bounds.

I think that the instant redirect setting should affect all the redirects, not just the ones related to posts. However, if we continue implementing them like the existing ones are done, it's going to be hell.

Instead, there would be a Redirect() function that, depending on the user's setting, does either an instant redirect or an old-style redirect. For instant redirects, it would place the message in $SESSION data, rather than cookies. The next page would then display it in a box or a banner (like ABXD's 'new PM' banner).

Eventually, afterwards, we might get rid of old-style redirects, unless there are any Acmlmboard purists who love them. Or we might do other modifications to all the redirects, which would be easy once they're not hardcoded anymore.

Thoughts? I'm just posting about ideas I got, not planning on making any code for now (and I need to finish that permission editor).

If this is not the best place for intelligence, is it the best place for chocolate? Or something else?

However, trying to impose yourself can be seen as intrusive. That must be used wisely.

What I typically do when I don't manage to talk, is consider whether what I want to say is important or not. If it is, I'll try waiting for an appropriate blank and ensure noone starts talking over me, and speak loud enough. If it isn't, I'll just forget about it.

The number of people in the group also matters. Getting attention will be easier in smaller groups. You could perhaps try to choose your groups according to this...

SMG2 compatibility. Basic and needs to be reworked, but I wanted to get shit rendered :P

It's been a while I haven't posted here. Whitehole's source code is going to be made available in a Git repo. If anyone's interested in contributing to Whitehole, let me know :)

Also, the new Kuribo64 will open soon. It will feature the SMG Object Database, with a total of 3045 objects waiting to be documented... again if someone's interested, go ahead :)

Sometimes getting the occasional sunny day, like kinda today. Otherwise it's still pretty much the same boring cloudy weather.

I'd like to know what it is exactly that they call 'global warming'...

Well I may have forgotten to mention it...

Kuribo64 is open and all. Take a look at it.

Also, Whitehole's Git repo has been set up and all. Here. If you know C#, any contribution is welcome.

Recently, I figured I'd install that SSD I had lying around since a while. I hooked it alongside the existing HDDs and installed a clean Windows on it. I figured I'd copy the files from my previous system HDD and then remove it.

But the Windows installer didn't think so. It did some weird shit and now the drives are interlinked in an odd fashion.

Basically, if I take out the previous system HDD, computer won't boot.

And more weirdly and annoyingly, if the Windows install DVD isn't present, it won't boot either.

I googled a bit, some persons got the same issue and it is said that repairing the OS three times or so will fix it. So I took the old system HDD out, and tried to repair the system, up to the point it won't detect issues anymore. But it still won't boot without both the old system HDD and Windows disc.

For now, I put back the old system HDD and hooked an old laptop DVD drive with the Windows disc in it. It works, but it's a hack. I don't want to stay like that forever.

Any help on this problem is welcome.

Oh right. Windows 7.

I attempted unplugging all the HDDs except the one with my current system. Ran Windows repair up to where it wouldn't find errors anymore. That is, 4 times total. And guess what? Nope, still not fixed.

I might just wipe that shit and reinstall it right, that is, with no other HDD plugged in so that dumb installer won't link my OS to other crap.

Nope. No bootrec.exe or bootrect.exe here. Or perhaps it's hiding somewhere but cmd fails to see it.

As for bcdedit I have no idea how to use that thing. Shitloads of options and crap.

Edit- oh wait, I'm dumb. That's supposed to be run from the Windows DVD... let's try it out then.

I somehow managed to fix it.

I copied the BCD from the old HDD to the new one and ran Windows Repair. Then, I removed the unneeded entries and fixed the rest to point to partition=C:. Now I can take out the old system HDD.

As for the 'Windows DVD always needed' issue, it was unrelated. My BIOS was set to boot on the CDROM first, which always worked fine in IDE mode... but apparently the AHCI BIOS doesn't like it when there's no disc to try to boot on. Setting it to boot on HDD first fixed it.

Recently, while cleaning stuff up I found some old broken HDDs that had been opened for a school project or something. I hammered the plates, reading heads and electronics, before putting them with other crap for disposal. That should do it :)

As for shredding, I have a small file shredder that overwrites the file with ones then zeroes before deleting it. I originally wrote it for Jceggbert5 because he wanted to shred files and his computer had parental control software that would block common file shredders. However I also happened to use it myself.

Fucking boring. Same old cloudy cold crap. Must be the third consecutive shitty summer or so here. There's no more summer or winter. The climate is flat and boring.

Posting some news.

Whitehole will be ported to Java. C# isn't really cross-platform, either OpenGL or owner-drawn controls are fucking up as seen when running SM64DSe under Linux, and Microsoft's latest additions to the .NET framework apparently broke stuff under Mono.

I will be testing out Java, and most likely sticking with it unless it proves to be absolutely horrible. In other words don't waste your time bashing Java.

If the ugly interface look is what bothers you, I'll make sure that Whitehole uses the system look, or atleast something nicer.

A nice sunny day, 23°C. Finally weather that feels like summer.

Gotta enjoy it, I'm pretty sure tomorrow will bring a thunderstorm and shit for one or two more weeks...
