I mean, they placed the chipset & chipset cooling in a place that a typical GPU will pump more heat into the chipset, allowing it to overheat even faster.. and they also put the USB-C header right underneath where a GPU will overhang, making it impossible to plug anything into it if you use a GPU. Want to make that worse? It's their flagship board for the X570 chipset. The world could always use more heroes! |

I might have just quoted Gigabyte on the last post, but there are some boards which aren't build as top-performance boards but rather as top-durability instead.
That's part of what lured me to the Asus TUF X470 board when I upgraded last year. I'd have gone for Gigabyte, but they only launched initially with their premium boards while neglecting to offer lower to mid-range boards. That said, the market offerings do vary around the world. Biostar? They're like a ghost here. The world could always use more heroes! |

FL4K does seem like my style. Zane looks neat, as does Moze. I just can't find an appeal to like Amara, despite normally enjoying elemental damage.
I think I'll stick with FL4K most likely when it gets a Steam launch - which I think is 6 months later due to the Epic Games Store exclusive period. The world could always use more heroes! |

I was going through, seeing how my GPUs evolved over the years and which manufacturers I'd used.
It started with an ATI Rage card which shat itself at 3D games eventually. Next was a PNY GeForce. I'm not sure exactly what model, but I'm pretty sure it was the old FX series, possibly a 5500 or 5600 by looking up information. After that, I used an integrated GeForce 6150 chipset for a little bit, until a PNY GeForce 9400 GT was put in to free up RAM for the system - and have dedicated video memory. Next card up was a Zotac GT 430 which lasted until it shat itself entirely one day when I was testing an old monitor. Turns out it didn't like dual monitor much. Replaced that with an EVGA GT 630 which lasted up until I got Fallout 4, which demanded I get a new GPU in order to play it - enter the EVGA 750Ti. Now I'm up to a Gigabyte GTX 1070, which just about copes with 1440p gaming.. but it struggles. Guess it's time to upgrade again, but not sure what to go for yet.. AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT or Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070Super? The world could always use more heroes! |
