If there's a place you'd want to get, I can get you there, I'd bet.

I'm the map.

I'm the map, I'm the map, I'm the map, I'm the map.

I'm the map.

I'm really bad at coming up with questions to ask people. What are some good questions to ask people Nicole

It's been pretty normal for me. I was actually pretty depressed until the end of it, but I'm doing better now, I think.

Except for the fact that I'm actually consistently super active on a forum, I mean. That part's weird

How well do you guys know America? How's about Europe? And other continents? I started doing these after watching the Map Game episode of Game Grumps, in case you're wondering why the sudden interest in geography — although I've always been a geography nerd, I used to basically do cartography of the Minecraft server we were on once upon a time, and I also used to play Geoguessr a fair amount >_>

Anyways!!!! Here's some quizzes I did I guess:

There's probably quizzes for South & Central America and Polynesia too, and other local territories (Canadian provinces, English counties, Japanese prefectures, stuff like that), but I haven't done any of those yet.

As for how I did:
  • I, uh... got all 50 states on my first try... (map has spoilers) in less than a minute... I actually have them memorized... please don't beat me up and steal my lunch money...

  • I got 73% of Europe on my first try.
I didn't really know where most of the former Yugoslavian countries were (Croatia and Bosnia were pure luck >_>), I mixed up Slovenia and Slovakia, and I also missed the Czech Republic which is shameful!!!! Also I completely spaced Moldova and Malta. Still, not bad overall.

  • I got 64% of Asia on my first try.
Not too awful, although I didn't really know any of the -stans (except Afghanistan and Pakistan cuz they've been relevant to U.S. politics, but also I remembered Kazakhstan was surprisingly huge). Also I completely spaced Malaysia which is like, how

  • I got 27% of Africa on my first try.
I'm completely ignorant about Africa as a continent. I assume this is because I am a dumb American.

Okay that's enough about me. How much of the world do you know?

Oh, geez, there's a few contenders:

Sideshow Bob Roberts is probably my favorite Sideshow Bob episode (although Cape Feare is great, too) and my favorite political episode of The Simpsons — you can trace a distinct line from the political trends the episode was mocking to today's politics <_<

Flaming Moe's is probably one of the best "standard episodes" of The Simpsons. It's just really funny and has really good character moments, the concept for the plot is super great, and it establishes both Homer's character and the trend of giving background characters bigger roles in episodes.

Marge Be Not Proud is an underrated episode, I think — I really like the Marge–Bart character pair, plus the jokes are really good (especially a lot of the poking fun at video games).

Speaking of underrated character pairs, I really like Lost Our Lisa (one of the last really great episodes of the show) and Lisa the Iconoclast, both really good Homer–Lisa episodes. They have a surprisingly sweet dynamic, and it almost always leads to some really funny moments.

Treehouse of Horror IV is probably my favorite Treehouse — I just really, really love all three plots (ESPECIALLY the one where Flanders is the devil), plus some of the in-between presentation is great too (I love the gag where Homer shows up in front of Dogs Playing Poker and just goes nuts). Although I'm also pretty fond of Homer3, it genuinely freaked me the hell out as a kid. The Groundskeeper Willie one, too, ugh x_x

The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show would probably be the one. It's just really smart and funny throughout the whole episode — I love the scene with the kids in the audience testing room, and of course everything with Poochie is great (including the infamous "I HAVE TO GO NOW. MY PLANET NEEDS ME." scene).

Buuuut, if I had to pick one... I actually think I like Bart Sells His Soul the most. Again, I really love the plot and subplot (and how they fit together thematically!), and I like the fact that both plots are kind of unsettling in a way that still feels Simpsons-y... plus it's just really funny. I love the In-a-Gadda-Da-Vida sequence, with Reverend Lovejoy's "Wait a minute... this sounds like Rock and/or Roll!" quote being one of my favorites in the whole series.

Does So It's Come to This: A Simpsons Clip Show count? >_>

I know The Principal and the Pauper is the obvious one, but I actually don't hate it — I do hate the way it kinda pisses on Skinner's character, but if you completely disregard its impact on the show's canon it's both really funny (I like when Skinner is riding away on the motorcycle) and kinda fascinating. And the crossover stuff in A Star Is Burns is pretty dumb, but the actual episode is genuinely pretty funny, so...

I don't like Homer's Odyssey or Bart the General, even as far as season 1 episodes go. Both of them strike me as kinda corny and they just... feel, weird.

I also just find Burns, Baby Burns to be kinda boring <_<

Not terribly exciting but god I love that Earth+Moon wallpaper on macOS. I wouldn't use the stock wallpapers if they weren't so pretty tbh

(now with screenfetch so you can see how kinda crap my hackintosh laptop actually is <_<)

I'm bumping this thread because I really like the concept and think it's super cool, actually.

Here's me trying to figure out which of my music folders are FLACs, for... um. Reasons. You can also see my mIRC setup which I actually think is fairly pretty. (506kb)
