Well I know you are there.. I think it's all about making an impression. Since you are now the "King of Games" in the land, I think you'll be surprised. :)

As for the archives, the only one I am in is the I1 one, and that's DOA :'(

When I got involved with EmuNET and TwiightRO I kinda shifted my focus respectively.

You were also a bit in I2 but not as much involved as you were back long ago. It is amazing how fast time passes it seems. Given another ten years, it can make you wonder how we will look back at even this moment. My past wasn't perfect but at least it wasn't totally stained by anything. I've never been legitimately banned. I don't recall ever causing any real sort of trouble.

If I had registered at sites sooner than 2004 or around 2001, I would probably be laughed at for my possible posts but nothing else that I can think of. My messages back then contained a lot of common typos and such.

I go as far back as 1996. I was working with the original vMac team. That's how I got sucked into IRC. That lead to being an op of a few channels on EFnet. Lol.. that lead to being an IRC operator on a micronetwork.. Which almost got me a trial IRCop on an EFnet server, but it ended up not working it out. I got into ROM hacking via M3 Improvment.

Ok now here is where Acmlm's came in. a guy by the name of "MarioExpert" on Acmlm's old wwwthreads board was discussing SMB3 Allstars. I than did a lot of info gathering on SMB3 Allstars. (Using get this corruptions, and working with existing tools.)

Than the rest is repeated history as the Acmlmboard era pretty muchs goes from there.

I feel really old. :(

I first showed myself to the Internet in 2002. Acmlm's was about the 4th board I joined, but it's the one I stuck with.

I first used the internet in around 1996, but my overbearing parents wouldn't let me sign up for anything then, what with me being 8 and all. (Keep in mind that a lot of people in the '90s thought the Internet was just full of rapists and pedophiles.)

I first used the Internet in 1998... I remember on Usenet there were many rumors about things like Aeris in FF7 (the main reason I first started using it) and Pokegods in Red/Blue, etc. :)

I later discovered the Genecyst emulator, and found out you could play Sega games on your computer... early on I pretty much lurked and didn't really like boards much...

My internet started from searching for game hints, secrets, codes, rumours.. Eventually, I stumbled upon rom hacking as "level editing".. eventually, I stumbled upon Acmlm's.

Since my mother was overly protective of me, and paranoid of everything, I never really got into anything on the internet until my late teens (back in 2007 to be exact). A few friends got me into Gaia Online, and I derped on that for a few months before growing tired of the commercial whoring and overall immaturity of the community.

I went silent for a while, only playing smalltime online games and the occasional obscure MMO, until January of 2009 when I tried to make a name for myself by doing really bad let's plays on my Youtube channel (just watch my Mega Man X LP... It's really bad), which was when I started going by "Trelior."

In mid-July of 2009, I joined Board2 because watching Raocow and Docsigma doing let's plays of Mario hacks sparked my interest in ROM hacking. From there, it's pretty much Acmlmboard history.

There aren't many other communities I'm part of anymore. Some lost my interest by being boring, and one banned me because it was run by a bunch of morons, and they didn't like my snarky attitude toward them. Hell, I used to be really good friends with their head admin, until he started being a royal douche (@Aesur knows who I'm talking about).

As for non-Kafuka/Acmlmboard things, I'm trying to get back into doing my let's plays (I've only been blathering on about this for a few months now)... And I'm also part of a smalltime let's play group with @Aesur, @Marzen64, and @jay4gamers1 named The Bomberman Orchestra.

I have no idea when we first started using the internet. It was mostly my brother, in the 90's, searching around on those Geocities sites and stuff, trying to find cheat codes to our video games. He has little folders for each console with printed out pages of cheat codes for each game. We still have them, actually.

Sometime in the very early 2000s, my older brother found out what ROMs were. He showed us them, and we all enjoyed the NES games from a decade ago that we missed (Our NES didn't work anymore). I got my own computer shortly after that, they just gave me the old 95, and I started looking for more ROMs. Eventually this resulted in me finding "Level Editing", much like Gywall, and I discovered TEK Boards. THE REST IS HISTORY. Much like what I just said. BUT HEY, we're all posting our histories here.

My internet started 1999, I think. (Still have the letter from when we got our first Internet connection, woo.) I at first just used it to look around (and play a bit with Babelfish <_<), later on I tried my hand on forums and Usenet, but I was stupid. I'd better not be reminded of that.

Indeed it has. It changed a lot of people and I think if it never existed, a lot of us would be a bit different overall.

I've been working with my story and creating RP situations for it for the RP I've been keeping up recently. I also decided to watch Doctor Who recently. It is quite interesting to say the least.

I started in 1998 thanks to school. Didn't have net at home until 1999 when I moved out of my father's place and started to live with roommates.

1996 or 1997 is when we first got dial-up Internet. Honestly it was so long ago i forgot exactly when. :P It was a 56K(?) dial up modem on a 486 from late 1994.

@Ailure: It had to have been 2800 baud to maybe 14.4k~ if it was late 1994. Wow. I didn't have post 286 computer until very late 1995. (about the time Windows 95 came out).

I grew up in a small village with no broadband access, and I had dialup until I moved out in 2005. It was annoying.

I hated dial up. We only had a single phone line. That means disconnections and line sharing..

We got broadband in 1998 or so.. So much better!

I didn't have to worry about the line sharing on dialup. Having two phone lines was a blessing.

I had so many instances where I was downloading something I got a disconnect when someone picked up the phone. (and at 3.2k/sec it was annoying.)

I was so happy that I had started using a download resuming tool :P

Yep, we only had one phone line as well. So only one of us could be on the Internet (usually me), and no calls could get through (and my parents often got very important ones).

So glad those days are over.
