Which of the most common furry and tailed pets do you like better?

If you know me, you should know that I'm 100% a cat person ^_^ I never was a fan of dogs, they always seem vicious to me with how they run toward strangers and bark loudly. I prefer cute furry kitties, they're more quiet and reserved and easier to take care of, plus they're just cuter. And they meow. Aww... ^_^

Cats all the way. Kittens are so loveable ~_^

Edit: Now that I am not typing this on my phone and am now using its internet because mine dropped, let me further state why.

Some people may think they have an attitude problem but to me I see it as them being smart and not taking crap from you. ;) Dogs will pretty much come at your call at lot but they are HARD to train. Cats seem to learn a lot quicker and are a lot cleaner so that's why I prefer them and purring hands down sells it to me. ^_^

I'm more of a cat person but I love dogs too :D. I've had more cats than dogs in my life (four to one), but I want one cat and one dog when I move out. A tabby and a Corgy, specifically.

CORGIES ARE FREAKING CUTE, MAN.

I also wanted a Siberian Huskie, and they're still awesome. Still prefer cats though. Cats are awesome, especially the friendly cuddly lapcats.

I'm not voting because I choose both.

I grew up with a lot of cats and a few dogs. When I got out on my own, I had two cats as pets. Most recently, I got a puppy (now a dog). I love both.

Cats are independent, able to do things for themselves as long as they have enough food and water and a clean place to use the bathroom. What's funny about my cats, is that we have to keep the door to their liter box closed because of the dog. When they need to use the bathroom, they'll let us know. My cats will greet me when I come home from work, but they don't do this all the time. Even when I came back after being gone for a week, to them, it felt like I wasn't really gone. My dog, however, knew I wasn't there and knew that I should be. Dogs are more loyal. However, cats are as well, in their own way. I guess it boils down to their owner and how they're raised. My oldest cat that I've had since before his mother gave birth to him, will hop on my chest when I lay down on the sofa. He's the alpha male and it shows especially when we got our dog. My dog will grab my hand with his mouth (gently) to let me know he wants me to pet his chest. He'll even try to put my hand to his chest, it really is super cute.

Dogs need more training and taking care of than cats do. Training the cats to use the liter box was super easy. With my dog, it took time and more effort.

Either way, I like both and as mentioned before, I'm not voting because this poll is not fair. :P

I prefer dogs, if only because my mom is a crazy cat woman that has a house that is overrun by the furball shitboxes.

When I lived at her house, I would constantly hear scratching at my bedroom door and inevitably have a shit pile and piss lake to walk across. Not to mention that since my mom is fucking lazy, my stepdad and I had to constantly clean up after them, or never hear the end of it from the one that wouldn't lift a finger to help aleviate the mess.

As a result, I loathe cats.

Definitely a cat person here :3 They're just so cute and fluffy... I have four of them right now (an old grey cat, a black cat, and two calico cats... calicoes and grey tabbies are my favorites :D)

Calicoes are my favorite and black and white being second favorite. I used to have a cat named Oreo who looked like he has a little bit of cookie on his mouth. ;)

This could be discussed. You haven't been of any influence to him since he was born, right? :P

Speaking of kittens:

*Notices lack of velociraptor option*

I cannot pick either as I am allergic to both and partially scared of dogs.

Well in your case you could pick the "lesser evil" or whatever you'd call it.

I remember getting bite by a friend's dog like when I was 8 years old, and til this day I have a somewhat distaste for all dogs. Cats on the other hand have always been in my life and I love them. ^_^

I was clawed a lot by cats as a kid (and no, not torturing them, trying to play with them as I would my dog) - so I always preferred dogs. But I currently don't have any dogs, just an adorable cat, and I would never call myself a "Cat lover" before this either.

To be honest though, my cat acts like a dog - she likes to play fetch, roll over, scratch on the bathroom door to open it while I'm in there, and growl at the UPS truck. She does act like a kitty too - she is terrified of guests and spent nearly all day yesterday under the comforter in our bed - but she's a CatDog!

I'm a dog person, but we have a cat. The family cat is not affectionate at all, gets on my nerves...

I don't have that much experience with cats, but when I do go near, they've either scratched or hid somewhere unreachable. On the other hand, I have an overly affectionate puppy, which inevitably puts me into the "dog-loving" category.

Definitely a cat person. Cats won't ravenously devour your pretzels and your cereal when you leave them unattended.

Goddamn dogs.

I guess I must be a cat person... I don't know, I don't dislike dogs, but I have found that the dogs I like the best are the most catlike :P (Whereas the big "jump all over you and be all excited" dogs are sensory overload for me)

Oh wow, my thoughts exactly on the matter. The few dogs I do like are more quiet and act more like cats to the point they might as well be one. ;)

I disagree with that one. Some cats will try to eat anything in their path.

One of the two cats here we don't need to look for, we only need to comment we're eating food and he always appears.. then tries to look cute to get food or steal it when you're not looking.

I only ever had to worry about steak or some type of meat to be swiped. Most animals, cats included, can be different. So perhaps you just got unlucky or some of us are lucky?
