Somebody should need to make an intentional horribly coded app that sits there on your RAM.

The problem is, I think Windows detects that these days and terminates such a program.

I prefer filling hard-drives instead.

Try the on4ever.com DOS program on WinXP, then. :P

Do I have to remind people that I run Windows 7.. and and not to mention, my XP laptop is isolated outside the networking world?

Do you realize although I've said on4ever.com I meant .com as the extension of the file?

I love that trick. Name a file "picture of myself.jpg hosted by www.photobucket.com" and everyone will think it's a JPEG file, when in reality it's a virus that's going to infect your computer.

Then there's the time I accidentaly found people behind a certain FBI ransomware enabling folder view, letting me copy every fun page over into my HD. :P

Oh those Ransomwares.. They're pretty poor. But quite a clever scam.

In any case, they shouldn't have enabled folder view, therefore letting me do this.

But to be fair, that webpage is not one of those where you accidentaly step into while browsing the internet, but it's used for a .exe ransomware.

Well some of the newer ones are now encrypting all your files and holding them hostage. Those are actually bad.

Birele, Cryptolocker, yuck. >_<

Good thing the older ones that don't encrypt anything are still more widespread than file-encrypting ones...

Documents, images, music, and videos, along with zipped files.

It's quite nasty.

But are there "target" folders, or does it use some method of finding them?

It does this on every drive, including network or USB drives.
