I've been using cell phones since 1998, so I don't have a use for a house phone. We did have dial up at first, but no used the line as a phone, so it wasn't an issue.

@Ailure: It had to have been 2800 baud to maybe 14.4k~ if it was late 1994. Wow. I didn't have post 286 computer until very late 1995. (about the time Windows 95 came out).
The computer was from 1994, not the dial-up modem. I forgot the exact baudrate, but I know that dial-up modems didn't seem to get much faster from what we got until everyone got broadband.

I remember we tried to get Cell Phones but for some reason they never worked. I was also told never to mess with them (I had a habit for destroying electronics I touched back in those days*). I did anyway, once, and it gave me a horrible scare when, late at night, I snuck around, stole the Cell Phone, and tried to get it to call us when all of a sudden I heard a loud "WE'RE SORRY" creepy woman voice on the end. I screamed and never looked at that giant hunk of cell phone again.

*I broke out pre-1995 computer by deciding I wanted to play three games at once. Turns out computers can't handle having three floppies shoved into them.

I used to have a computer that couldn't handle having even a single floppy shoved into it.

It was also a very good at unformatting floppies too.

My sister got a new computer when XP was prime real estate. When we bought a new computer, I thought I was going to get it. Instead, I got the Acer Computer Explorer Windows 98 computer. It was still pretty fun. I used to play Solid 201 games on it, and I'd get mad when I didn't make good plays in Mancala or Wari or when the computer made some long and good plays in those two games. I would open the disc tray and push and pull it until the computer's turn was finally over. Apparently, it didn't help.

Looking at the title.. Something video games has taught me, is that crystallised drinks usually have some side effect.

Lol Well Pepsi at least wasn't crystallized (unless you kept it past its' expiration of course)

I have no idea how many people are old enough to remember this ;)

I don't think it went fully international either.

I loved Crystal Pepsi! I actually miss it, along with Tropical Sprite Remix. Best two sodas ever.

I think @Emuz and I are the only two old enough to remember Crystal Pepsi. ;)

Funny though, this is the second time that soda has been mentioned this week.

I didn't like Crystal Pepsi or Tropical Sprite... Probably because I don't particularly care for the plain flavor variety. Hell, I'll only drink Pepsi (and Coke, by extension) with cherry flavoring.

The one soda/pop/whatever-the-fuck-you-call-it-where-you're-from I like in most of its flavored varieties is Mountain Dew, although, ironically, I don't like the cherry flavor of Code Red. My favorite offshoot flavors are Supernova (strawberry), White Out (smooth citrus), and Baja Blast (Taco Bell exclusive lime).

*watches video*

PUNS!

I'll pretty much drink every single soda, but I don't drink em all that often. I drink water when I can, I only drink sodas when I go out. I normally get sprite when I do, just cause... it's something I've done. I like sprite but these days I don't like it above any other soda. I just instinctively get it.

Although my college has free soda fountains. I'm kinda worried about what my binge drinking of soda did last year to my body >_>. I haven't noticed anything, but y'know.

I hate cherry soda. I don't like the taste of it at all.

I had never even drank any cherry soda until last year. I always kinda avoided coke. It was okay, but it just had this meh aftertaste to me. They had cherry coke fountains in the cafeteria. I decided, eh, why not try it? I've always been told it was pretty good.

My reaction to cherry coke?

It was pretty good.

I love orange soda and sometimes strawberry. Now that I think of it, there is one type of cherry soda that I have liked and that was black cherry.

Ooh, orange pop ^_^

I also like root beer (though not actual beer) and lemon-lime. None of that diet stuff, though ^_~

Crystal Pepsi sounds like a diet variation. And I despise those like the plague.

Orange Soda is nice. Especially Zingo. Fanta Tropical Fruits is nice too. And regular Coke and Pepsi, of course.

But Vanilla Coke, on the other hand, is the work of the devil.

Cherry Coke is definitely the best variation soda.
