Well, I mainly came from Final Fantasy and Sonic communities (and RCT, but that wasn't really connected with most of the other gaming world :P)... I can't even recall how I found Acmlm's back in the day ;)

Didn't SMWC branch off as it's own thing? If it is a real Acmlmboard, then it's the largest one to date. Over 26000 members. 4 pages of people over 1000 posts.

Oh I know it does, with the post layouts and everything. I already knew it was an acmlmboard I didn't know though, if Kieran coded it to his own or what.

Actually SMWC is based on AB but has little to no code left. Supposedly they scratched coded it after finding AB a bit un-weildly. They ended up just keeping the style of AB as elements of how that board handles is different than AB1.

I definitely noticed especially since everyone is using post layouts that don't include side/topbars. There's no posting syndromes, so essentially it's just an AB base?

I always loved the AcmlmBoard style. It's not the codebase that matters, it's the look and feel~

No, it's scratch built. Mostly using the ideas and elements from AB1 that they saw would fit their style.. You'd have to ask them for more of the info.

Next theme: Night. I've dug up a lost set of status images for this theme and have applied them to the theme. I don't think they ever got used?

Also I dug up my old background Acmlm made for me! I tweaked it to fit the large res screens we have now, but other than that it's the same image. :)

Looks like a cool layout. I know those are bushes but they kinda make it look as though the bricks are ripped off the bottom, so they float. :P

At first sight I really thought it was Yule XD, the one that Kawa fucked up on ABXD. But I guess I was wrong, Though it is retro week, I was never around Acmlm's then, so I don't know what the theme are, I just go with what I see. :P

Indeed. Actually Jul uses a more subtle 'nebula' background. Other than font changes and such, it's about the same. (I like the choice of background image actually Xk did a good job finding a blending image)
