E3 was a big bummer, however they did let us know of some pretty cool titles.

Splatoon was a great concept, and I think that will go good sales, especially for kids. SSB with the new characters, Mii's and Palutena. That will surely make lots of profit for Nintendo for the Wii U and 3DS.

Captain Toad looked like its own Galaxy with a SM3DW twist.

Zelda looks so much more vast and fun to explore. I myself will definitely be getting that, That raised the bar and I think that will sell out really fast.

There will be a Star Fox but that wasnt talked about.

Yarn Yoshi, or, Yoshi's Woolly World looks really great. IT's basically a yarn version of Yoshi's Story, and I loved Yoshi's Story.

Mario Maker was also announced and that will be coming. Really makes some of our websites and hacking tools useless now doesn't it? Maybe.

They really could've done better, with a new Metroid and a new Mario based lke Sunshine. I was really looking into that, but it never happened..

Eh, I think it's too early for another Main Series Mario game. NSMBW in 2009, SMG2 in 2010, SM3DL in 2011, NSMB2 and NSMBU in 2012, and SM3DW in 2013.

I wouldn't expect a new 3D Mario game like Super Mario Sumshine 2 to be announced until 2015 or 2016.

I've found that the faster Nintendo does Mario titles, the worse they get. It's good for a break.

Yeah. I never thought a Mario game would come out in 2011 and two would come out in 2012. It apparently overwhelmed Nintendo's creativity. Look at NSMB2.

I'm psyched for the new Zelda. It looks fucking AMAZING!

I'm kinda saddened by the fact that most of the showings are for next year's releases. Though like I said on my friend's Facebook page, we have a few good games to tide us over until then.

It wont. Mario Maker is not a level creation tool. The creator of the app said to not view it as a level creation tool, more like an app to haven fun (kaizo levels galore :P)

Not to mention its really limited.

Looking forward to Bayonetta 2 (you get Bayonetta 1 with it too :D), Xenoblade 2, Smash Bros. 4, and probably my favorite of them all: the GameCube Adapter ;) (best of all, it plugs into USB)

Plus, even if it could supplant what we currently have, we could just try and make something more, right? Push the limits of what we can do until they break?

Not that that's necessarily feasible.

I think Nintendo's running on fumes, and I think they know it too. They're a big enough company I think that they can ride on it for a while until they get their act together and release great games. They even made fun of themselves in their own press release with that Robot-Chicken-like stop motion.

I think if, somehow, they can release awesome games and keep their online gameplay from being infested with cheaters (as they've been able to do this generation) then I think they'll actually pull out of their funk.

We need stuff from IP we haven't seen for a while. I'm talking about F-Zero and Metroid. And, if we must have *another fucking Mario game*, give us another Paper Mario. Nintendo and its developers need to figure out what the magic was in PM: TTYD and recapture it in a new game. They finally have the system to deliver beautiful visuals.

So here's my wishful thoughts on Nintendo's future:

I think they're working on a ton of stuff they didn't show at E3. Stuff that I've mentioned earlier. I think they're waiting for the E3 hype to subside before they just come out of the blue with amazing footage of amazing games from old-school IPs. Because, come on. Mario Maker? This comes kind of close to my Mario Paint 2 prediction... There's even elements from Mario Paint 1 in Mario Maker! Otherwise I'm a bit confused as to why Nintendo would be showing us barely constructed games when they should be getting their ass in gear to get out of the hole they're in.

Also, the more I hear about Smash, the less I want to play it. I want to be surprised. I don't want to know what all the stages and characters are before release like with what we saw with Mario Kart 8. And, unlike MK8, I'm going to find out about them whether I go looking for it or not prior to release.

Yeah, from the stuff I heard about E3, I didn't hear about many other games. Yeah, they have a new IP, but it seems like there was much more missing.

I wouldn't be surprised if new stuff is shown in a Nintendo Redirect.
