Caionna raises a brow when she hears the water running from the men's restroom. Cocking her head to the side, she says to no one in particular, "If he wanted toi take a shower so badly, he could have retured to one of the rooms upstairs instead of wasting a water spell."
Shrugging it off, she grabs a pint glass and taps the ale keg. Placing it on the counter, she slides it toward Moxley. Trying to play the temporal stall off, she inquires nervously, "What answers do you need?" |

Moxley graciously catches the glass of ale, and notices Caionna's nervousness...
Moxley: "Thanks...and when I say answers, I'm just talking about how I wound up back here. Last I recall, we were fighting monsters in a manner most awesome, and suddenly I'm back here enjoying a..." Moxley takes a good, long swig of ale, seemingly analyzing it it for a couple of seconds before swallowing it. "...surprisingly pleasant ale in your company. Not complaining, but one can't help but be a little curious." |

Caionna furrows her brow and responds to the knight, "That's curious... I could have sworn you were with Bel, Zissou, and Zarik when I summoned them back here. I could sense that you were in danger, so I intervened on your quest." Crossing her arms and placing a hand on her chin, she goes on, "Perhaps the you we thought we saw was merely a projection, and my powers were insufficient to truly retrieve you."
Having gotten lost in contemplation for several moments, Moxley's compliment falls on deaf ears. Her eyes scan the knight up and down for several minutes before she posits, "Do you feel any differently than you normally would?" |

"Could be any number of reasons, I imagine." Moxley says, finishing his ale. "Probably some shift in the time space continuum, or some other multiversal shift. No scientist or mage I've met has been able to make heads or tails of it all yet."
Moxley walk over to the tap and pours himself another ale before looking to the others in attendance. "Unless there's another pressing mission...anyone for another round?" |

A look of concern clouds Caionna's face, "I'm sorry. I don't think I'm able to go on any adventures with you for quite some time." expecting questioning, she continues, "I have to be present here while the world is forming since I'm the source of the plane's aether. If I leave, it's uncertain what will happen here. Whether it will cease to exist or merely stall out again is a risk I would sooner not take."
Zissou puts a paw on his snout and ponders aloud, "Surely the realm shan't cease in its existence, but it's curious that you have been upholding this realm for as long as you have been and yet there has not been much expansion beyond this building and the surrounding meadow. Curious indeed." Furrowing his brow, he goes on, "I have noticed. Zarik's aetherial signature seems to not be present, and it seems that things go awry when he is not present... Perhaps there is something afoot." He trails off, muttering incoherently to himself, while burying his snout back into the novel in his hand. Caionna cocks her head to the side, silently questioning her mentor's supposition. |

Caionna sits in silence. Her brow furrowed, and her eyes scan the room slowly. The wheels of thought are clearly turning in her head. |

Caionna senses the presence of the newcomer, and perks up from having dozed off behind her book yet again. Shaking the sleep from her eyes, she gains focus and notices the diminutive lizardfolk.
With a polite but stern cough, as if clearing her throat, she points at the sign on the wall that says, weaponry is permitted, but it is to remain sheathed at all times while inside. It is readable in the closest native tongue of whomever was gazing at the sign. Isn't magic fun? |

After a pause, the short lizard lowers his bow, tucking it back into his cloak.
"Sorry to alarm. I've been through enough places like this that wish to see me dead, one can't afford to be too careful." The figure emerges from the shadows fully and removes his hood, revealing a kobolds face. His yellow eyes blink twice to adjust to the light. "My name is Bakk, and right now I'm after two things: a drink, and a good hunt. Where might I be able to find at least one of these?" |

Caionna stands and stretches as she walks to her post behind the bar. Reaching to the cupboard for an empty pint glass, she inquires, "A drink is something I can do for you. As far as hunting goes..." She hesitates a moment, then continues, "I'm not so sure that's a wise decision in the wilderness around us."
Turning to the counter, glass in hand, she says, "What can I get you. I'll be honest, I'm not familiar with koboldic preferences for drinks." Turning her attention to Bel, she adds to his statement, "Yes. I have measures in place the can deal with fights that break out. I simply..." A coldness falls over the room as her cheerful demeanor drops, "Shunt the offenders back to their home plane." |

Putting the pint glass back, and grabbing a proper wine glass, Caionna says, "I think I might have just he thing. Just give me a minute or two." Placing the empty glass onto the counter top, she walks to the back room. There is audible clatter as she searches through the clutter in the back. After several minutes, she reappears from the back with a dusty bottle. Wiping it down, she grabs a corkscrew and opens the bottle, she then pours the vivid red wine into the glass and slides it over to the kobold.
"My brother took my mentor, our friend here, and another traveler onto an ill-fated quest some time ago, and I retrieved them from where they were using my magic." Shooting Bel a teasing glance, she continues, "He's just whining a little about it." After a moment, she realizes that she hadn't reciprocated the introduction, so she hurriedly says, "I am Caionna, by the way. Welcome to my realm." |
