World 5 went about as well as you would expect a train wreck to go.

Extra 5 was absolute bullshit of the highest degree. Precision platforming for collectables during a skiing segment that segues into precision chopper flying for collectables with Kamek and Baseball Bandits constantly knocking you around. Not fun. It felt like a motherfucking ROM hack.

Do you usually go through every game until it's completed, or have you been known to just start a different game? Are you looking for suggestions for games to play? What games are you considering?

It usually depends on the game. If it's one I'm familiar with, I'll typically try to play it all the way through as completely as possible.

I usually only ragequit a game on stream if it really pisses me off, or if the stream can't handle the feed.

Yoshi's Island was a request after I finished Pokemon Bronze, and I plan to do my randomized Nuzlocke of Silver after I'm finished with it. After that, I don't really have anything planned.

I forget... are you at all interested in Minecraft? I think it'll be awesome for you to do a Let's Play of Coldhallow. I could probably get on some form of communication with you to do a voiceover alongside yours... although that's not really necessary. I could just use the chat interface.

Other than that, I loved your SMB2 series LP, and would like to see an LP of maybe SMB3 or SMW. I also think Blaster Master is a good one, except it's hard as piss, and I always ended up using the Infinite Lives GG code. Because FUCK game overs.

I'm indifferent about Minecraft. I'm more creative with it than anything, and I can hardly fight mobs to save my life. I'll consider it if I can abduct you for commentary. Skype works wonders for that.

SMB3 is on the list to do. Aesur and I were going to do SMW a few months ago, but we lost the footage of the whole game twice, and we got pissed and dropped it. I've never played Blaster Master, so if I'm going to do it, it will have to go on the list of games to play live.

Ok. You'll probably rage quit the shit out of that game though. :D But I'm worried a lil bit about my upload speed. 0.5mb/sec... I might be able to hold a skype call (barely) but then I probably wouldn't be able to do much of anything else. Once, I had to call someone on my phone and connect my phone's line-out to my computer, then send the locally recorded file over to them for editing. >_>

If you want to try SMW with a partner again, I'm still around, just let me know.

Also, I can definitely vouch for Blaster Master being a bitch and a half. I haven't played even a little of it since I was a kid, but I remember barely getting anywhere. (And when I wasn't having my ass handed to me on a silver platter, I was getting lost as hell.)

Having finished Yoshi's Island, I'm moving onto my next Nuzlocke challenge.

Randomized Silver Version!

Posted by rules
Rules of engagement:
1. Only the first Pokemon encountered on a route can be caught.
2. Every Pokemon caught must have a nickname
3. If a Pokemon faints, it is released at the first opportunity.
4. Battle mode is Set

Clauses:
If a Pokemon that has been on the party before appears again, a reroll is allowed for that capture.

If there is a dungeon within a town, it gets its own chance to add to the party.

EXAMPLES:
Sprout Tower is separate from Violet City
Slowpoke Well is separare from Azalea Town
Burned Tower and Tin Tower are separate from Ecruteak City
Rocket HQ is separate from Mahogany Town

Instances of a Pokemon being FORCED upon the player do not count toward the Pokemon of the area.

EXAMPLES:
Starter doesn't count for New Bark Town
Mister Pokemon's egg doesn't count for where it hatches

Randomizer rules:
All Pokemon (wild, trained, gifts, trades etc), trainer classes, gym leader names), move sets, and item locations have been randomized.

Encounter rates are randomized at a 1:1 per area level, each area contains the same amount of Pokemon as in the original game, but are completely randomized.

Legendary Pokemon are not permitted for use by the player or opponents. All wild legendary Pokemon are marked as bounties.

Moves are updated to their Generation V type, power, and accuracy.

Types have also been modified to their proper effectiveness.

Pokemon requiring trades to evolve now evolve by reaching a certain level.

I will be challenging all the way to Mt Silver or bust!

The first session was a success! I progressed all the way to Goldenrod City and claimed my badge from Whitney Marilyn.

The Randomizer Nuzlocke gods smiled upon me this day.

My team, their levels now, where I met them, and their starting level:
Yoshi (Ivysaur) 21, met in Elm's lab at level 5 as a Bulbasaur
Digdug (Dunsparce) 21, met on Route 29 at level 3
Webra (Ariados) 25, met on Route 45 at level 3 as a Spinarak
Tuff Shit (Wigglytuff) 21, met on Route 31 at level 3
Pixel (Furret) 21, met in Slowpoke Well at level 7
Darkwing (Golduck) 21, hatched from Mr Pokemon's egg on Route 33

I am really happy with this team. I've had a few close scrapes and I've lost a few, here's hoping I take them all the way!

As for the casualties... This includes comrades I've lost, as well as the ones I failed to catch, in the order I found them.

Chilly the Sneasel, met on Route 30, fell at the hands of the Rocket's Skiploom's Mach Punch in Slowpoke Well. She fought well and will be missed. Levels 4-16.

Damn Bird the Pidgey, met in the caves of the Ruins of Alph, struck down by the icy fist of the cold-hearted Blissey belonging to the sage in Sprout Tower. Levels 5-11.

God rest the soul of the unnamed Togetic I ordered Digdug to burn alive in Sprout Tower. I had no choice, I couldn't catch him and he was on a rampage! Level 5.

Pray for the unnamed Dragonite in Union Cave that Tuff Shit mercilessly slaughtered in a turning wheel of flames. Level 4

I will forever miss Sparky the Raichu. She fought her hardest to resist being captured on Route 33, but I got her. She was abruptly vaporized by Pixel in Slowpoke Well as we were trying to capture him. She was only level 7.

Rest in peace, the unnamed Feraligatr of Ilex Forest. He succumbed to the toxins of Tuff Shit's poison sting while I was attempting to make the capture. He was level 5.

A small grave lays on Route 34 for the Hitmonlee I failed to capture. After breaking free of all of my Pokeballs, I had no choice but to order Darkwing to take this valiant soldier's life. He was level 10.

As you can imagine, my reserve is pretty small... It consist of:
Samus the level 2 Sandshrew I met in Dark Cave and Ms. Cleo the level 6 Natu I met on Route 32.

Well, This session was a mixed bag. I got lots of lucky catches, but I also took some heavy losses.

In terms of progress, I'm now holding six badges. I have a huge hole in my team where two of my fighters, and three replacements, now lay slain.

My current team sits as (all 35):
Yoshi, Tuff Shit, Pixel, and Darkwing.

New recruits in reserve include (in the order I found them, but not including those that died):
Kraken the level 16 Omastar I met on Route 35
Phyresis the level 19 Krabby I met in the Bug Catching Contest at level 16
Rosanne the level 10 Snorlax I met in the National Park
Mr.Diggums the level 12 Diglett I met on Route 36
MANBEARPIG the level 16 Usaring I met on Route 38
Roadblock the level 17 Forretress I met on Route 39
Venison the level 15 Stantler I met on Route 40
Salty the level 22 Kabuto I met on Route 41

Casualties include (in the order of losing them):
The unnamed Squirtle I failed to catch on Route 37 just couldn't take the beating from Tuff Shit's Swift. Level 15.

Poor Webra was sliced down in her prime by a Scizor's Extremespeed on Route 40. Levels 3-25.

LilCthulhu the Tentacool I met disguised as a roadblock on Route 36 was blown to pieces by Stantler's Egg Bomb on Route 40. Level 20.

Luma the Starmie I met in the Burned Tower succumbed to the gnashing jowls of a hungry Abra on Route 41. Levels 15-18.

Digdug never stood a chance from the counterattack of the crafty Marill on Route 41. Levels 3-25.

And finally Gojira the Pupitar that was gifted to me by my friend Bill in Goldenrod City was vaporized in the Draconian rage of the Magmar on Route 38, he would have been an excellent team member. Level 20.

In other, better, news: I fought Zapdos after having released it from the Burned Tower. It swooped down and attacked us as we were training for the Olivine City Gym. It was a fierce battle between it and Darkwing. I nearly lost him, but he pulled through and buried the lightning bird in the grave I was sure I was going to lay my friend. He was victorious at the low level of 28.

In the words of his namesake, "I am the terror that flaps in the night! I am the one that makes the gods quake in fear! I am Darkwing the Golduck!"

Today's stream was a doozy. I streamed for a staggering ten hours (most of the end was entirely grind in preparation for the League).

Progress is sitting at Indigo Plateau in the wings of the stage going against the Elite Four, I also took down Lugia on my route to collect my bounties on the dangerous legendary Pokemon.

The team sits as (all 45):
Rex
Tuff Shit
Mothra
Darkwing
Ramrock
ColMustard (Colonel Mustard)

We met with many new warriors along our path toward the throne of Champion. They include (excluding those that died):
-Rex the Charmeleon I met as I surfed on Route 42 at level 20.
-Mothra the Venomoth I met as I traversed Mt Mortar at level 13.
-Swampthing the Quagsire I met while rustling through the grass of Route 43 at level 15.
-Colonel Mustard the Azumarill I calmed in the turbulent waters of the Lake of Rage at level 30.
-Ness the Cubone I saved from salve labor of powering the Rockets' radio transmitter at level 23.
-Worthless the Weedle I met on the waters of Cherrygrove City at level 23.
-Drifter the Skiploom I met frolicking through the meadow of Route 44 at level 26.
-STRONGMAD! the Machoke I beat in a swimming contest in Dragon's Den at level 13.
-StormEagle the Skarmory I met in Blackthorn City as I was reporting back to Leader Pi for my Rising Badge at level 15.
-Hedgewick the Hoothoot I befriended near the pond of Route 45 at level 27.
-Dorkfish the Lanturn I met in the depths of the Whirl Islands on my way to slay the ravenous Lugia at level 23.
-Scorpion the Gligar I ran into on my way through the Tohjo Falls on my way to Indigo Plateau at level 23.
-Muda the Vaporeon I met on the bridge of Route 27 at level 30.
-Ramrock the Rhyhorn I clashed with head on on the perilous Victory Road I met at level 36.

Though we have many new friends, it is with a heavy heart that I report the brave souls we lost on the battlefield this day (in order of their demise):
-The unnamed Clefable in the minefield of the Mahogany Rocket Base, succumbed to Rex's purifying sacred flames. Level 21.
-The unnamed Eevee on the frozen Ice Path, was overpowered by Colonel Mustard in my attempts to win him over by show of force. Level 22.
-I laid our dear friend Pixel to rest after he was brought to his knees by the Phanpy's Earthquake in the Blackthorn City Gym. His death was entirely the fault of my complacency, it's all my fault. I failed him, not only as his leader, but as his friend. May the gods rest his soul. Levels 7-39.
-Mercury the Nidoran♀ I tried raising to fill the vacuum left by Pixel. The task proved too much for her as I inadvertently led her to her untimely death at the hand of my so-called friend Jasmine the Fisherman's Electrode's Thunder Punch. Level 16, met on the water of Lake of Rage.
-Salty the Kabuto thought he would help fill Pixel's furry hole in my heart by joining the troops on the front lines. While I admired his courage, I can't help but feel responsible for his sacrifice. The bloodthirsty Typhlosion on Route 45 mercilessly broke his shell with a Low Kick and ate him alive. I'm sorry, friend. Levels 22-26.
-This one pains me to report. I lost my very first friend of this adventure, Yoshi, to the cunning counterattack of a Nidoqueen on Route 27. He attempted to take her down using his powerful psychic energy, but she withstood the blow and redoubled the attack back at him. Time stood still for me as I watched my dear friend collapse from the utterly obliterating blow he suffered. I'll never forget his loyalty and friendship. He gave his life for me, and I will always cherish the time we had together. Good night, sweet prince. Levels 5-40.
-Pressing forward as Yoshi would have wanted me to, I tried to rectify the vacuum left by my best friend's sudden absence. I brought in Hellhound, the fresh recruit for Route 26, a Houndoom. All seemed well and good until the Forretress we met not long after a short training session. He never stood a change as he was crushed by the giant steel bagworm (Jump Kick). Levels 28-29.

Today's stream session went beautifully!

I entered the Hall of Fame and ran my campaign of Kanto. I am sitting comfortably at the foot of Mt Silver. My party remains the way it was when I started. All that's changed is my levels. I'm sitting at 50-51 with most of the party, with Rex sitting at 55. My target for Red is 70. I will be doing a grind session sometime before the final showdown with the man himself.

The only casualty to note is of the Houndoom blocking Diglett's Cave in Vermilion City. I added it to my list of bounties along with the legendaries since my duplicates clause forbade me from attempting to catch it. Rex took it down handily with two Bubblebeams.

I finished as expected, I went after the Lapras in Union Cave while I was at it since it's Friday.

Ho-oh, Entei, and Suicune all went down with very little effort on my part.

As for Red, I was able to power through him entirely with Darkwing.

Since it was a total anticlimax for a final battle (the whole stream only lasted forty five minutes), I decided to do a quick stream of Teenage Mutant NInja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project.

I powered through it in about an hour and a half, using all three continues and the incredible cheapness of Michelangelo's super attack.

It was pretty fun. I'll probably highlight that stream as well. It will be much faster to edit than the Silver stream. Keep an eye out.
