Miracles Happen When you believe... Level: 256 Posts: 2200/25311 EXP: 270450442 Next: 1672985 Since: 07-16-12 From: Albany, NY OS: Windows 98 Last post: 356 days Last view: 356 days |
So, I was playing Pokémon Emerald, and the battery died in my old cartridge... backed up the save file from it and copied it to a different Emerald cartridge (the battery in the old cartridge was starting to eat away at the terminal, so I removed it)
Now I noticed that certain events do not work, such as the Berry Master and the Lottery Tickets; oddly, the clock still runs in Littleroot Town and the Shoal Cave still changes tides - could backing up the save file and restoring on a different cartridge have messed anything up? If so, is there a way of fixing the save file? TIA "Miracles happen, when you believe..."

The effect you're getting is similar to when you replace the battery in those games (the savegame is kept on flash memory), as the clock is reset but the timestamp on the savegame is in the way future. Similar thing is happening here probably, your savegame timestamp is in the future compared to where the clock is. You need to edit the savegame timestamp. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org, YouTube
