Just noticed while trying to read a spoiler on a mobile device... there's no option to highlight making reading of spoilers impossible.. maybe a revealbscript could be used?

Agreed. I wish there was a +9000 instead of just +1...

Time to get rid of those sucky Acmlmboard spoilers. Another problem of those is that they fail to hide images.

Which is why ABXD's are foldouts on a clickable button.

Like most forum systems' spoilers. (by most I mean all except those that don't come with a [spoiler] tag for whatever reason)

Tbh I like the way facepunch does it best. A clickable spoiler that reveals the text under it.
E: clarification: their spoiler tags are black bars with black text on them, and, when clicked, turn the text white.

As long as there's a proper button element. There's no promise that a div or such will be a valid target.

Alas, very good point. What's the point of a spoiler tag if it spoilers you anyway?

Spoiler tags shouldn't be used to hide images anyway.

Links should be used to hide images.

We might know that. But some lesser-informed persons may not know that or have the sense to do that.

If the JavaScript does not load the picture until the spoiler is opened, I don't see the problem.

The same kind of buttons could be used for hiding YouTube videos. If we must use links for that the whole embedding is pointless anyway.

One way of also hiding the image would be to set the opacity of the spoiler content to 0 before the button is pressed, which then sets it to 1. You would not even need JavaScript for this.

Edit:
Hello there!
I'm a spoiler.

Edit2: fixed label — edit3: Herp derp.

Kind of defeats why I posted in the first place.

HTML. I thought you knew how to work this stuff, given your layout. ^_^

What the fuck? Just found a peculiarity with that: the checkbox works on a per-instance basis, but the label attached to the checkbox only works for the first checkbox.

What the fuck is this sorcery.

Doesn't look like it works on Chrome there, or at least if it didn't break since this afternoon...
