Well, Kaila's (1997 IBM ThinkPad) hard drive went kaput on me, so now I have to buy a new one :/ It's a shame that the BIOS is too old and doesn't seem to like CF-to-IDE adapters... "Miracles happen, when you believe..."

I was in a small accident last Friday, wasn't injured. Someone cut me off and had to make a fast turn down a road. Couldn't slow down enough and hit the curb really hard. Did about $1500 worth of damage. Insurance covered it except for the $500 deductible. The person didn't stop; I doubt he even knew I was there.
In light of that, I did a bit of shopping.
About $500 more I didn't intend on spending. Though at least this'll help me in case that ever happens again. I really don't like this feeling, but now I am a bit more prepared, and that helps with the peace-of-mind thing. It's no longer my word against the law/insurance/moron. |

Posted by KPYou know. If you go to get insurance quotes, you might be able to barter for a discount with such a setup. As in the event of an accident, it would easily show who is at fault.  The world could always use more heroes! |
