Do any of you get a constant pain in a joint of your body?

Personally, I keep getting pain in my right knee. :/
Putting up with it is kinda annoying.. I dislike using painkillers, since it seems a waste for me.

So, anyone else get any?

If it gets painful, you should take a painkiller anyway. Use paracetamol (Tylenol, Panadol etc.) which is cheap and safe.

I hurt my right knee badly in 2003, but it nowadays only hurts when I sit on it for more than a minute.

EDIT: INB4 lame Skyrim jokes

My left ankle was hurting a few months ago. I actually walked with a limp because of it. However it seems to have went away since than. Other than that I suppose that's all I have experienced.

I have TMJ and a left shoulder that I think is slipping out of its socket.

I've got an issue with Tendinitis in both of my shoulders, mainly my right one. It's strange that this thread should come up, since I was just complaining about it in IRC...

I also have some issues with my knee. Not a big issue, just some occasional swelling and pain at certain times of heavy use.

My left knee hasn't worked 100% properly ever since I popped the damn joint sideways while working on the roof.

I'm well past repair surgery now (I'd managed to dislocate and chip a piece off the back of my kneecap) but the knee will occasionally pop with discomfort and mild pain whenever I'm using it.

I remember that. Did you ever get a follow-up visit with your doc? What kinds of things can't you physically do now?

I resist pain killers naturally for some reason. Doubling up gets expensive in the long run. :/

Multiple; it's not physically restraining me except when it comes to crawling. Scar hasn't faded yet... I'm thinking it should have done so long ago. >_>

I'm not sure if it really counts...but every now and again I get this sort of restless feeling in my legs, usually only when I'm actually relaxing. Only way to make it go away seems to be getting back up and going to find something else to do. The feeling is quite unsettling, especially after a long day.

My ankle hurts like a mother, but that's mostly my fault. I walk super fast everywhere, and I walk everywhere, sooooooo I'm on my feet a lot. Otherwise I don't think I have lots of JOINT pain, but I kinda ignore pain these days.

It's called "Restless Leg Syndrome" and it's a mother fucker. All you want to do is move your legs, but the rest of you doesn't want to do a damn thing. I have it, to a small degree, and it sucks. Doesn't really interfere with my life though. Just once in a while I get it. A stationary bike works great for relieving it.

there are a bunch of novel painkillers and sometimes you just have to go through the rigmarole of trying out every narcotic on the market--it is a tiring ordeal but i wish you the best. Usually I think you start out with vicodin but vicuprofen usually works better for joint pain in my experience. If you can afford it, pregabalin seems to work quite well, especially in conjunction with other medications (i've heard it works excellently with aleve). Otherwise is a steroid injection or some sort of pain-deadening nerve blockade been suggested or is it applicable? Tramadol is the norm these days for moderate~severe pain as it's not in the chemical class of opiates--it is quite an odd drug but it works well for some people. Tapentadol is like super-tramadol but my doctor is wary of it since it is scheduled and has an opiate component apparently--even though I already take morphine. Well he's not a bad guy, and I can understand his restraint.

If the pain is really bad, you'll probably need some opiates proper like oxycodone or morphine--or maybe just a dilaudid iv once in a blue moon if the pain is intolerable.

This isn't quite just joint pain but I have chronic neck pain along with a central nerve disorder which is sort of painful all the time. My quality of life is definitely by the grace of opium and modern medicine.

e1: alternative solution: 420 smoke weed erryday
e2: hilarious side comment but my anesthesiologist studies thc and suggested marijuana (well, synthetic thc specifically) himself

My right foot hurts quite a bit right now... It's been hurting on and off for the past few weeks, and I wish I knew why exactly.

I have a feeling it's because my boot isn't giving my ankle the support it needs, and I'm walking the way my body finds natural... Which is painful, because my high arches make me walk on the outsides of my feet.

It's hell on my ankles.
