Posted by DarkWitchClaire As far as software goes, at least in terms of software I use on a daily basis, I use a DOS emulator and a compiler to assist in composing music for a game I'm doing, since it's in the style of a particular old computer. As far as hardware goes, my dad might have some stuff older than this lying around but for many years I used a Korean ThinkPad test model laptop from 2000 that had actually died, but my dad revived it with an external hard drive. And wouldn't you believe it, the damn thing still powers on. I mean, it ain't useful for much, but god damn if that thing isn't a survivor. It'll survive a fucking nuclear war, I swear. Although, I have technically used hardware older than that. Months ago before the pandemic started when I still had classes and stuff, one of them had a bunch of old (mostly no longer functional) PCs in a storage room, like old Macs and such. A pal of mine and I were dicking around for a bit and tried to see what we could do with them. We tried to see how much we could get them working. Posted by DarkWitchClaire Can't say I've had any bad experiences within any "fandom", per say, as I've not really been involved with fandoms at large in my internet time, but there are definitely online communities and individuals I could've lived without surrounding myself with for sure. I guess the closest thing is the Persona fandom. I like Persona, SMT and Atlus games in general, but by god Persona fans are the worst. Like, any time I see Persona discussion in any capacity online it just makes me sad. Everyone's always angry and complaining about something, and not to sound like the "ugh all these newbies ruined everything!!!!" type of guy, but the new influx of fans from Joker's inclusion in Smash Ultimate... didn't help matters much.
