Anyone on here gonna get hit by Hurricane Harvey? The Weather Channel says it could get up to category 3 or even higher when it makes landfall in Texas. It then could reform and make another landfall in Louisiana but we'll see on that one. |

Been following Hurricane Harvey, yes, don't know if anyone here is in its path however? I know the Northeast dodged a bullet with Hurricane Gert this past week though "Miracles happen, when you believe..."

Thankfully I don't know too many people near the affected area, and I'm far far away from it.

Posted by Danika That means nothing. Hurricanes can and do hit after November 31st but it's rare. Take the 2005 hurricane season for example. All the names were used up so the greek alphabet had to be used for the storms (which stretched into January) and lets not forget about January 2016 with hurricane Alex. EDIT: Eyewall moving ashore now. Landfall very near EDIT: Harvey has just made landfall in Texas, making this the first Hurricane since Ike in 2008 to hit land in Texas, the first category 4 hurricane since the 1960's to make landfall in Texas and the first category 4 hurricane to make landfall anywhere in the US since 04 with Charlie. |
