Posted by Robbie RageI enjoyed it more because it came at just the right time. Transitioning control methods really helps when you're playing against AIs.Posted by Epele It's also nice that it let us learn the rough layout of the new map Rialto too. Feels like one of the better payload maps too. The world could always use more heroes! |

Just got done with a grind session for my stream series n Final Fantasy II. Did a bunch of grinding on the Captains in Fynn. Relearning the game while I was at it. Blink is a fucking BROKEN buff spell. I have it on both Firion and Guy at level 5-6. A lot of the damage that comes from the Captain isn't from his weapon itself, it's the fact he can attack six times with it. He can't hit you, he can't do damage. Pair Blink's evasion with Protect's physical defense boost, and you're pretty much golden.
In terms of FFXIV, I hit 70-all a few weeks ago and slowly started to get bored with the arduous grind that is the Animus books for the relic. I let my subscription lapse so I could take a much needed break from the game. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is all three-starred up to the Mirror 150 with a good chunk of the 200cc done as well. But that started to prove kinda tiring, so I shifted focus again. Mario & Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is a far better game than I gave it credit for. Had it not came with my Switch, I probably wouldn't have bought it. That said though, I thoroughly enjoyed it. All that's left for me to complete are the co-op (local multiplayer locked, so why not just let me play it single-player with a fourth member because that's how I'm gonna play it anyway) and the Ultimate challenges. I've found all of the treasures (only needing a video guide for one), cleared all other challenges, and scored a Perfect on every battle in the game (most of which, on the first time through). Excellent game. Going on the stream list. I also decided to peek at a few demos that piqued my interest. One was Octopath Traveler. I've been a fan of classic Square RPGs for as long as I can remember, and this one feels like it. It's very well written and the characters showcased in the demo are charming (and I'm not just saying that because Primrose is a seductive dancer, though I did like her story more than Oldric's). The other demo I tried was for Lost Sphear. Really not sure how I feel about that one. Not sure if I just didn't like the gameplay in the demo, or if I was being distracted by a bunch of shit while trying to play it, and getting annoyed by that, or if I honestly didn't like the gameplay. May have to return to this one. Since I'm not ready to go back to Mario Kart just yet, I figured I'd dust off the Wii and give Xenoblade Chronicles a go. Kinda kicking myself for not having played this one years ago. It's really good. I'm about 20 hours in, and I'm only to Frontier Village. From what ゼンガー・ゾンボルト has been alluding to, I've barely scratched the surface so far. Can't wait to dig in more. |

I finished Mario Kart 8's single player to the threshold I declare to be 100%.
That is: all Grand Prix on all five difficulties cleared with three stars, all 150cc staff times beaten, and 5000 coins collected. Basically "I have all four gold unlocks, and have won every trophy with perfect victory". The 200cc staff times can die in a fire. I like playing the 200cc, but I don't like it that much. |

More Fallout shelter. Since I was running a little low on Caps, I decided to start preparing some of my stronger dwellers to collect caps and items from the wasteland.
Just after I sent the last one, it threw a Deathclaw Attack. I didn't have enough time to evacuate one of the rooms straight in the invasion path. Two dwellers took a deathclaw to the face. I'm just glad the Reactor Room team prior managed to deal with the vast majority of the attack, otherwise it would have been a slaughterfest after the first floor. The last one fell at the Café room on the second floor down, so it's going to be Deathclaw Burgers on the menu tonight. The world could always use more heroes! |

Been playing Danganronpa: Hope's School Despair's Students (The PSP, fan translated version of Trigger Happy Havoc) in preparation for a voice acting role I auditioned for in a fan project.
Really enjoying the story so far. I'm on the second day of Chapter 2 as I post this. The only gameplay aspects I don't like are: 1) In the Non-stop Debate sections, you have to aim the cursor at the flimsy arguments. This only makes sense if there eventually comes a time when multiple conflicting points come up in a single line. Another thing is that the cursor whips around like a motherfucker. It's hard to keep a bead on where the point you need to refute when Naegi's line of sight is whipping around. 2) The entire bullet time battle mode. It makes no sense to me, and that phase on the first trial made me lose a FUCKLOAD of points, and I even failed it once because I was waiting for prompts that aren't actually there. My only other gripe is the seemingly literal, hard translation used in a few places. I mean, The normal dialogue is fine and reads fairly well. What bothers me is instead of being called "The Ultimate [Descriptor] Student" that is used in the official translation, they use the kinda cringey "Super Duper High School [Descriptor]". A small price to pay since I can't exactly afford twentybux on Steam right now. Those three gripes aside, I'm really enjoying it. EDIT: I switched over to Trigger Happy Havoc proper, the fan translation was starting to bug me that badly. Just got to the beginning of chapter 2. I really like Brian Beacock's Monokuma voice, to the point that I actually tried to replicate it for a third audition for the fan project I jumped in on. I think I did a pretty good job with it. |

I'm slogging my way through Pokemon Quest, despite how fucking bad that game is. Trying to prove to myself that it's beatable without paying to win.
Go fucking figure that it looked like a mobile game to begin with, now this shit is actually on android and iOS. |

Been playing some Fallout 4.
Got the Ballistic Weave in the post-game with the Brotherhood Ending. Takes an interesting sequence break to achieve this. The world could always use more heroes! |

Got my hands on Puyo Puyo Tetris a week or so ago and plowed through story mode.
It showed me the rift in my skill between both games. I'm far better at Tetris than I'll probably ever be at Puyo. I can chain several Tetris clears without an issue, while getting more than a 3-chain in Puyo takes a lot of effort for me to on on purpose. A lot of the challenges where the goal was "Score 2000-5000 points in two minutes (or less)" in Tetris, I would blow out of the water and score 30k-50k with the majority of the time still on the clock. Whereas, it says "Score 1000 points and win the match" for Puyo, I end up with 600 points and a pity win because the AI seems to understand that I'm beyond awful. The one mode that infuriates me if Fusion. The strategies I use in Tetris get fucked over because of Puyo crushing mechanics, and the fact that garbage blocks are integral to counter comboing. The concept just baffles me. |

Been playing a little bit of FFXIV, slowly making my way through the Stormblood MSQ.
I've also picked up Fate Grand Order on my phone. It's a bit weird playing that game with very little context from the rest of the fate series. |

Posted by TytyWhat server? I'm on Malboro. Been taking a break, but I'm back for the free four days campaign at the request of my FC leader since she misses me being around. She even Paypaled me the money to up my sub and get my retainers paid for. I'm not ungrateful for it, but she seems desperate for me to be an absolute shithead with her. The problem being that all I care to do right now is Heaven on High (which will get boring and useless after I get the rapier (That RDM life) from it), the new MSQ (which isn't very long), the new Hildibrand quests (been putting them off), and (hands down the least fun of it all) the Animus stage for seven more relics. |
