oh jeez, reminds me of a nice library I was dealing with... the "find index" call returned -1 if the item wasn't there, but the "remove item by index" call would remove the last element if you passed it =1... Early tests were on the last item by sheer chance, so it was fun tracking that down.

Sounds like some php functions, like searching an array. It's actually more efficient to use a foreach() loop than use the array searching function to return an index. Sometimes the function in php would just return the wrong value, because it's searching for "12" and found 112. And strict mode, it can be blind and 12 != 12, so it returns 0.

Tried writing the same function with a quick loop, and it works better.

foreach($array as $thing){ if($thing==$search) $return=$thing; }

You then just use the variable you found.

Code is fun. Especially what you can do with macro software.
