Posted by Danikaum... mildly? i think even in the earliest games with regular pokeballs, you still have a 1/4 chance of catching abra, so it's not that bad Posted by AtomicAstroyeah of course! music is good Posted by DarkWitchClairei don't have the energy to explain my reasoning so if anyone asks i'm not going to explain because you can look into it if you really want to JonTron: dumbshit racist. useful idiot for the alt-right. duh Oliver Thorn (PhilosophyTube): dumbass, not even that good of a philosopher, offered a half-baked shrug when talking about how society's gonna collapse or whatever and how that Might Suck for Disabled People and Trans People. pals with contrapoints, which shows his intellectual depth (none) ContraPoints: she's a narcissist in general part of hte reason i hate the "breadtube" label is because a lot of its adherents aren't even necessarily beholden to intellectualism or all that left-wing (olly/contra) whereas some are (hbomb, shaun). there's nothing uniting them other than that they make video essays and sound intellectual to some people (either because they are or they're fucking fronting) Posted by Danikai don't get it |

Posted by DarkWitchClairegod, it's not your fault at all, but i hate being asked for something obscure -- it always puts me on the spot, like an impetus is on me to pick something that's Actually Reasonably Obscure. like i'm going to be judged for not having obscure enough taste in games!!!!!!! that said i'll go in for a couple here: Chameleon Twist - Sky Land chameleon twist is probably trash but dammit if i don't kind of have some weird guilty love for it Bomberman 64: The Second Attack - King & Knights the second attack in particular is obscure, i think. everyone knows about Bombaman (that "Bomba" bit was a typo but i'm leaving it) Hero but pretty much nobody owned a copy of the second attack, so maybe it qualifies? anyway i love this game's music so much that i did a MIDI sequence of sky planet horizon — i was going to sequence the above song but getting the chords in the intro exactly right proved to be a little difficult so i shelved it for now. i'll get back to it sometime. Bionic Commando - Area 5 is bionic commando still obscure? hey, did you know that this game is called "Hitler no Fukkatsu" in Japanese, which translates to HITLER'S FUCK? can you believe that they'd name a game HITLER'S FUCK -- a game in which hitler's head violently explodes into brains? i can't i'm only making part of this up by the way Parodius Da! - Island of Pirates one time my dad picked up and started playing my PSP which was loaded with a bunch of weird ROMs and one of the ROMs was parodius da! which i'm pretty sure has like a dancing barely clothed lady in it somewhere. i was really embarrassed about it but he never commented on it other than that the game was really weird but kinda fun and asked me what it was lingering minor childhood traumas aside, this song objectively is terrible probably. but SUBJECTIVELY? i really like weird rhythms and cheesy SNES synths and baroque classical chords!!!! so actually it does it for me a lot! Posted by Danikaoh, that sounds fun! i've been a little busy lately so i dunno how close attention i can pay but i'll def watch if i get the opportunity! |

Posted by DarkWitchClaireswirlix/slurpuff. maybe wooper or quagsire or mimikyu Posted by AtomicAstroum not that many people know about it i guess i don't really care if media is obscure or not, i don't spend a lot of time thinking about it. i mean i like diving deep into things and finding things that really Tickle My Fancy but i'm not one of those idiots who's all "Hmm yes, but that thing is pedestrian because too many people like it, unlike me, who has, shall we say *rubs finger on wine glass rim* refined taste haw haw haw" (i have a rateyourmusic where i've put seven percent solution's "songs about satellites and spaceships" and sweet trip's "velocity : design : comfort" alongside radiohead's "in rainbows" and my bloody valentine's "loveless" lol) Posted by Danikawhen i was a kid i used to think it was flash. now i think it's probably strength |
