Wonder how many other people here have smoked or do smoke... I know I started when I was like 16 or so (I kinda blame celebrities TBH), quit back in 2008 (the late Taryn helped me), haven't looked back in almost 11 years  (even with bad news in the world/etc. trying to tempt me)
As for non-tobacco smoking, I do smoke cannabis on occasion but I'm not a daily weed smoker like I used to be  "Miracles happen, when you believe..."

I don't smoke manufactured tobacco though, only stuff I cut from leaf, it's the shit that they add which will give you cancer. |

I used to smoke a little less than a pack a day of Camel Turkish Royals and Kamel Reds. That was for five years. I think I damaged my lungs pretty badly, though, because I have chronic shortness of breath now. I smoked weed daily during 2015, too, and a lot of it. I don't smoke anything now, though. Maybe I'll smoke weed again someday, but I'm doubtful. |

(Is it still a cigarette if it's marijuana? terminology is silly) It didn't do anything for me and the smoke made me cough, so I never bothered to try again. (I had had a prior experience with marijuana via a vaporizer, which made me kind of silly, but I'm silly without drugs too, so I didn't keep it up and she gave up trying to convince me) |

Posted by Nicolyn Lots of different names nowadays, most people call them joints, doobies, spliffs, or if it's just weed in there a blunt is the name. I like ganja because it makes me think objectively about me, my surroundings and situation, I used to use it for escapeism, but now it does the opposite, probably because of my psychedelics usage, changes the was ganja affects you permanently and every time you do a psychedelic. |

Also I will not lie, it's extremely fun when you begin to understand what's going on in the world at this deeper level, it gives you peace in the knowing that all is temporary, nothing needs to hurt you emotionally and YOU can be in control of your world in a way that never was realised before. |

Definitely not.
My parents were (cigarette) smokers from their teens up until 2016, when they finally quit after literally a decade of procrastination. They both said it was far easier than they expected, at which point I seriously considered slamming my head into the wall repeatedly. Anyway, smelling smoke for years took any desire to ever try it. ____________________ Can you burn a Luigi board? |

any type of smoke smells like shit. Even if I wanted to get high I'd never put myself at risk of getting caught/called out by smelling like weed

I used to smoke weed every other few days in 2019, though my living situation has since changed several times so it's not really an option. It helped a lot with anxiety and depression.
As for cigarettes, I've somehow never had one, and probably won't. Those things are disgusting, although I do like the smell. Weed smoke smells better than cigarette smoke, though I used to hate the smell of cigarette smoke when I was young. Don't know when that changed. |

i actually think weed smoke smells worse than cigarette smoke -- maybe slightly odd because i'd be way, way more likely to actually smoke the former

Having grown up around cigarette smokers since I was young, no. I enjoy breathing clearly, thanks.
That said, I confess I do enjoy a cigar on rare occasions with friends, but if I have 1 or 2 a year, it's a lot for me. |

I hated the smell of cigarettes when I was young. My parents smoked a lot. They eventually quit, but after I started being around weed smoke a lot I started to grow accustomed to the smell of cigarettes. Though my brother used the smoke inside the house which was absolutely disgusting, but he's learned better since then |

Perhaps I'm just a pussy, but the idea of smoking anything doesn't sit right with me. Same thing with drugs as a whole. It's not even really a moral supremacy sort of thing, it's just "this is scary and weird I don't like it".

I don't smoke, I grew up around enough cigarette smoke that I hate it. Though, there is a bit of nostalgia in certain cigar smokes because of familiarity to it because of my grandpa.
I'm actually so far against smoking that I don't even want a partner that smokes. Had a girlfriend in high school that smoked, and i could taste it when I kissed her. I only put up with because lolHornyTeenager. It's actually a huge turnoff for me. As for other shit. I've been told smoking weed could help me cope with my chronic pain, but I don't believe it. I blame the "HURR HURR HEMP IS THE MIRACLE PLANT" bullshit. It's still illegal where I live, and getting the medical weed card is actually grounds to get me kicked out of the housing authority. So between disillusionment of the tardhype and risking homelessness, I'm not touching that shit either. Let alone that fact I'm so fucking poor I can't afford it anyway. |
