How was everyone's New Years? Do you have any plans or an outlook on the year?

My New Year's SUCKED! I had to work that night. It a tad more than mildly pissed me off that this was the first year in nearly ten years that I missed watching the ball drop.
As for my aspirations for 2012, I want to find a job that doesn't suck nearly as bad as the one I have, and that's about it. As for the conspiracy theories about December... Fuck that noise. I mean, just look at the last several hundred End of the World hoaxes we've seen in the recent times. Nothing's gonna happen. I call it now. |

I got married in 2011, so I guess my goal is to keep my wife happy and stay married?  2011 wasn't a bad year. Got a wife and a cat!
In all seriousness, probably going to be a lot like 2011, except the date I write on the few checks I need to make out, like to my borough for the yearly trash collection, or my sewer bills (the rest I pay online). |

Eh...wasn't a very good New Year. 2011 was an all round terrible year for the family (4 deaths, lots of natural disasters, kidney stones, surgery, etc...ugh), we're just glad it's over and looking forward to 2012 being much better.

2011 was a pretty shit-tastic year for everyone in Japan, due to the massive earthquake/tsunami. It pretty much takes precedence over all my other memories of the year. 2012 will be a year of changes. I'm hoping to get into the PhD program at my university, travel more (domestically and internationally), and start some kind of creative project. Any ideas?! |

My goals for this year include losing some weight and to start building muscle and finish my early education training at work so that when I'm ready to go into college (September) I can just jump straight into University, work towards my degree and hopefully get into a placement ASAP.
There's also little goals I want to try and achieve, like find a long-term relationship, but I don't care so much if they happen or not.  |

2011 was pretty sweet towards the end, kinda shitty at the beginning. A lot of ruckus in the world, and a lot of shittyness happened.
As for New Years Weekend, got super hammered off Armageddon Juice, wrasstled, almost broke my nose but became proficient in N64 GamePads being used as Flails. But 2012 will be o-k because: New Interesting People (And Girls!)
