It may be a custom title, but it originally was a custom rank. I don't see the need to make the barrier high, but really I think one should be had. 100 or 50 + 60 days is far better than what AB and board2 ever gave. Plus JUL's is higher too. I thought about just giving the custom title out at start, but I think it's something that should be reserved for those who put more than 6 posts into the site. I don't think 100 is hard to do, nor would 50.

I run a very loose ship, but I do have some barriers. This is one of them. Yes you can defeat it with a CSS hack, (that's why a rule will be in place for it), yes they can spam for it (when we would stop) yes you may make a good case for it to be for all, but my view is it should be for people who contribute to the board as a reward for making the community better. While time and post count is a horrible way to gadge it, it is applicable.

If think the staff is a joke, that's fine. I assure you we are not. If you want to get mad for us/me putting our foot down on something for once? Fine. We as staff are tasked with the thankless job of enforcing, and making fair rules while keeping everything as open as possible. I want this place to be open, and it is far more open than a lot of the other places. I thank you for expressing your opinion, but right now I want to keep it as is. We can revisit this later on.

The bug is fixed, and at least for the short term the post for custom title will still be as laid out. I'm going to close the bug report thread.
